Introducing Nick King
Nick King 37. tattoo artist / pawn shop owner. Better known as Jon Moxley.
Below the Cut you can read all about Nick King including a brief biography and his dirty little secrets!
Nick King grew up in the mean streets of Cincinnati Ohio. A place where it was either kill or be killed and he wasn't about to let the streets kill him. The streets took his Mom, and the cops took his Dad so what was a young kid to do? Fight of course! When Nick wasn't fighting in the mean streets of Cincinnati, he of course attended school like any normal kid. But, the days of him receiving an education were short lived, thanks to Professional Wrestling and his love of tattoos! Nick's obsession with tattoos began at a young age. When he wasn't watching or performing wrestling, he was doodling in his notebooks and school desks. So much so that he was kicked out of public school for not only his explicit drawings but, "tattooing" other students with markers.
At the age of 16 Nick started training to become a pro wrestler. He would make this job his full time job for the next 21 years. That was until the years of abusing his body in the ring and coping with drugs and alcohol began to take its toll on him. As Nick began to age, he started to realize that being Jon Moxley wouldn't last forever. One night as he was walking the streets of LA, he came across a 24 hour tattoo shop. It was then and there that he realized that not only would he be getting his first tattoo but, perhaps he too could turn his "doodles" as everyone called them, into a work of art. Naturally, the man walked into the shop and picked out his first tattoo at 35 years old.
Once Nick realized that he could get paid for his designs and after he went under the needle for his first of many tattoos, he knew that he had to open up his own shop. It was then and there as he was sitting on the tattoo chair that the idea for Street Dog Ink was born. After running his tattoo shop for a little under a year, Nick came to another realization that tattoos weren't enough he needed yet another job! ENTER THE PAWN SHOP!
He converted a small room of his shop into a pawn shop. This pawn shop however, is a secret from the public and only clients Nick trusts are able to gain access to the shop. Why? Well, because some of the items sold in this pawn shop are illegal. Items like bootcut copies of new to theater movies. You want to see the new Barbie movie? Nick has a copy. Not only does he have movies, he has weapons, things like guns, knives, nun chucks anything your heart desires, Nick just might have in his shop.
So, just what is this special secret Nick is hiding? Well, he has two.
He's a recovering addict. - Thanks to years of abuse from wrestling Nick was hooked on all kinds of drugs, pills, and booze. Thankfully, thanks to Tony Khan and all the lovely people at All Elite Wrestling, Nick was able to enter rehab and has since maintained sobriety.
2. His second secret: He is in an all exclusive fight club. He may have to give up pro wrestling thanks to his age but, he'll never give up fighting. Nick needs to fight just like he needs air. Seeing people bleed and cry in pain just fills his ego. Some residents of the city have even started rumors about him being a hit man for a crime family, But, those rumors are 100% false. He is his own boss and will do whatever he feels is necessary to thrive in the city of Los Angeles!
