Freedom itself was attacked this morning by a faceless coward.

Please notice where the dinosaur's hands are... BAHAHA!
"Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”
Simply breathtaking.
30 Day Song Challenge, Day 12: A song from a band you hate
Soulja Boy - "Kiss Me Thru the Phone"
I really enjoy hip-hop and rap, but Soulja Boy just has no originality from a lyrical standpoint. I mean, c'mon... about half of the song is "da da da da da da da da". Not a big fan of their voices, either... it's just my opinion, though.
It's time.

WITH SCHOOL?!
You got it, Buddy. I’m loving every single second.
I haven’t had all my classes yet, but I can tell I’m going to love them.
The girls are all so nice. They’re not some of those stereotypical, snobby dance girls. It’s such an amazing environment at Brenau. I mean, I met one girl...
YAAY Bonnie! I'm glad you're enjoying Brenau. :)

Oh yeaaaaaaah. Getting ready to meet Tony Stewart at an appearance in Roswell, GA.
30 Day Song Challenge, Day 11: A song from your favorite band
Goo Goo Dolls - "Better Days"
"I don't know what to say... except that this song is about hope." - Johnny Rzeznik
I saw the Goo Goo Dolls in concert in Alpharetta, GA this year, and absolutely L-O-V-E-D the show! They're absolutely amazing performers and actually sound exactly like their tracks. That's pretty difficult... most bands are either better in the studio or better live, but they're just plain awesome doing both.
This song was one that really stood out during the concert. The quote in the beginning of my post is how they introduced this song before the intro began. Seriously... I felt like I was at a worship concert. Just the way that everyone in the audience sang with them, holding their hands up, and honestly and fully believing in the entire set of lyrics from this song... It was crazy awesome. :)
"I wish everyone was loved tonight."

I don’t love the Nike Pro Combat uniforms, but damn, this video gave me chills.
we are southern pride, and georgian fury. we are ruthless in red and black, and supreme in silver… we are UGA. we are the dawg nation.
So, I never realized that Blake Shelton's song "God Gave Me You" is actually a reproduction of Dave Barnes' song. From what I read online, DB originally wrote and recorded the song, and Blake heard it on the radio when he and Miranda were fighting (before they were married). Blake loved the song and thought it was an appropriate about their relationship, so he wanted to record it for his album. Here's the original version... I think I like it just a teeny bit better, actually!
IT'S RACE WEEK!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Will anyone else be at AMS this weekend?
30 Day Song Challenge, Day 10: A song that you can fall asleep to
Corey Crowder - "Here's Looking at You Kid"
This song is so calming... I just love it. So sweet, too.
One of my favorite karaoke songs! Great artists, too!
30 Day Song Challenge, Day 9: A song that you can dance to
Quad City DJ's - "C'Mon Ride the Train"
Oh, this makes me think of middle and high school... and every wedding I've ever been to. Such an awesome nostalgic song! :)
I don't know about you, but...
...I'm ready for the NASCAR race at Atlanta. It's been weird not having a March race, but that just makes Labor Day weekend even more awesome. Plus, I'm going to a Tony Stewart appearance next week, which I'm SUPER pumped about too!
Yaay. Go Smoke.
