Oh yes, finally, some time to sit down and blog without any time pressure!

A week ago, we celebrated our first year anniversary! Wow. Kudos to this guy for putting up with me during the times when I am my most difficult *insert emoji with sweat dripping down its face*. I appreciate it all, wholeheartedly- the patience, the effort, the care and most importantly the love. I couldn’t ask for anything more. ❤️

First, we went for a fun photo shoot experience, which was a lot of FUN! This guy was more comfortable in front of the camera than I expected. It was really amusing to watch! Then followed by a nice dinner at New Moon Café. I’ve always loved having to look at him on the other side of the table and the way he would sit next to me after his meal. It was overall a great experience. I couldn’t wait for that photo to arrive!

It’s been a wonderful year together and I’m only looking forward to what’s next for us. The good, the bad, the ugly…we’ll handle it together as a team. I’ll do my best to be a funER and awesomeR teammate! 😂

Tuesday.

I handed in my portfolio today. As if? The course went so quick I couldn't even wrap my head around the fact that we'll be starting work next month. It's excitingly scary! So yes, I turn 25 next month, I start my first ever official job and damn it's where it all starts, isn't it?

Life changes. You get it all lined up just the way you like it and then something beyond your control comes along and bumps you off center. Nothing stays the same. You grow up, make friends, lose friends, lose track of people, meet new ones and sometimes you ask yourself why. But all I can tell you is that every single experience you go through changed you in some way. Every new person who comes into your life changes you. Every moral dilemma or emotional experience you come up against changes you. It’s your job to decide how.

Move out and in.

So my sister and I have finally found the flat that we’re both happy with after days/weeks of searching and viewings. It’s a bit pricey but it’s actually worth it because of its location (more importantly) and the size of it. 

It’s located in a pleasant location in Bristol close to so many coffee shops, shops, a vegetable market and approximately 20 minute walk from the city centre and the hospital! I just couldn’t wait until we actually move in. We’ll be finishing with university this month and will start working in August! I think it’s just fair to give ourself a little credit by choosing to live somewhere less “student-ish”.

Credits to my ever helpful boyfriend for helping us with this as well. ❤️

The feeling of being in a relationship where both of you grow together in love hasn’t been something that I’ve genuinely experienced in the past. I may have known how to love but actually being in a relationship and accepting/dealing with everything that comes with it is a totally different side of the story.

The patience to understand and accept each other’s individuality. ❤️

Mama’s birthday and also the very recent time that we were all together. We had a stomach satisfying time in a Japanese buffet somewhere in Newcastle (can’t remember what the name was exactly) and had a roam around the lovely centre of Durham including the Durham Cathedral.

What also made it special was the fact the the parents' closest friends were there. It’s always a great time when we’re together!

It’s gratifying to be appreciated and to hear spirit warming compliments. It also gives that extra little kick when it’s from people you least expect it to come from. Although I always remember this rule I try to live by when it comes to comments:

Criticisms- Don’t let them get to your heart or else they will cause you dejection and resentment. Instead, let it go to your head, give yourself enough time to process them and work towards improvement if need be. 

Compliments- Let them go straight to your heart for they will lift your spirit up and also, it’s so much better to have a big heart than a big head, no?
