Hereditary (2018)

I haven’t had time to completely process this movie as I’ve quite literally just seen it but, wow. It is clear the filmmakers respect good storytelling/the horror genre in general, and this is a wonderful addition. This movie takes it’s time to develop a provokingly rich backstory/lore which makes me want to re-watch it already. Without revealing any spoilers, all I can say is you wont find any cheap jump scares or other tired horror tropes, just pure horror.
