Oh, Rocket...!
Cally didn’t back down. That was good, it meant that she was confident about her business and had hopefully nothing to hide. Rocket acknowledged it with a short nod and another crooked smile. She had to admit that she had begun to really like that woman.
«Good,» she said firmly and put one dirty brown boot on the van and grabbed the part of the gear that was closest to her. It was suprisingly heavy and made a loud creaking noise when Rocket pulled it in her direction. She wouldn’t be strong enough to carry this on her own.
«Hey,» she turned to Cally again, not letting go of the metal bar in her hands. «Are you gonna help or not?»
Cally watched for a little while, letting Rocket attempt to maneuver the equipment out of the van on her own. "It's hea--" Her warning was already cut off by the request for help, and the woman snorted in response. "Mmm, b'tween you and me, it'll be cherry pie." She rolled up the sleeves on her jacket and stepped forward, climbing into the van so that she could grab the light from the other side.
"Where're we goin' with it, darlin'?" She asked, painted eyes watching Rocket from the dimness inside of the vehicle.
