“One more step and you’ll end up like him.”
she's referring to the man whose body her foot rests on, giving her leverage to RIP the hook from his skull where it'd been lodged. it hits her shoulder, looking too BIG for her frame ( meant for a man accustomed to labor ), and rests there comfortably as she stares the woman down with a curl to her lips.
“what’d you want?”
casually puts a starter call here
One day that little girl may find a filthy metal spike And drive it right in the middle of your forehead
its kinda gr8 bcus i dont even have to change anything about lizzy's past to make her fit into dragon age except that im having issues with which river she'd control bcus idk the only major one i can find that'd be like the wrenhaven in dishonored is in the free marches. drakon river might be good? bcus it crosses denerim which be a good alternative to dunwall bUT IDK BCUS THERE AINT SHIT ON WHAT THE RIVER IS RLLY LIKE and rivers arent such a big staple to the city but it is a big staple to lizzy's character 3:
One day that little girl may find a filthy metal spike And drive it right in the middle of your forehead
okay but im pretty sure it doesnt specify a gender anywhere so lizzys aristocratic lover was absolutely a women
so in the da verse i will inevitably have i know only a few things and those are that lizzy is from the free marches, but probably lives elsewhere ( ferelden maybe? ) and that shes a duel handed reaver warrior
"Lizzy. Still biting people I see."
She sneers.
“Animals bite, Daud. It’s in our nature.”

They weren't on good terms, the mere notion of it a farce the streets of Dunwall. Backs always had to be watched, you couldn't put your trust in anyone these days ( not even your second in commands ). But they were on tolerable terms. A mutual willingness to associate with one another, and there'd never been much true animosity between them ( even if she'd always awaited the day he'd come to her to shove a knife in her back ).
"I'm afraid that whatever it is you need this time you don't have such a high bargaining chip," Lizzy ensured to tell him immediately upon his arrival. One might arguing breaking her out of prison and incapacitating that pile of shit was enough for at least two more favors, but she wasn't going to take it into account. He'd helped her, she helped him, their slate was clean as far as she was concerned.
Still, she's willing to hear the old man out. "Get on with it Daud, or were you just stopping by to check in on little old me. If so spare me the decency, it’s sickening."

Not very smart!? How dare she!
Rat Blinks away from the threat of the knife and tries to bluff out her pelt, still damp from having misjudged a landing and fallen into the damn river minutes before, and makes a horrid sound. She doesn’t appreciate herself, nor her species, being insulted in such a way. Quickly Rat Blinks her self upon one of the cargo crates and feels her Mark burn as she feels her body shift.
“Obviously we’re smarter than you humans since you haven’t killed off the Pandyssian Bull Rat Bastards yet.” She speaks tersely before wringing out her still-wet hair, unabashed at her own lack of coverage.
The pest, as it seems, is proving to be even more problematic than she ever could have guessed. Her head snaps to the rat's new destination, eyes narrowed and body going rigid as the room swelled under the influence of magic. Lizzy Stride had seen a lot of things in her life; her surprise prominent, but brief.
A girl was no more threatening than a single rat, strange happenings or not, but her posture remains stiffened. Irate. Dragging her tongue across her teeth she considered the woman before her. "I don't take kindly to stowaways." The other comment gets brushed aside, it's not one she can readily argue against. "Especially ones with smart mouths. Gimmie a good reason not to cut out your tongue and I might consider it."
ratofdunwall
A rat. She can smell it. Lips pull back in a sneer, she prides herself in keeping her abode pest free ( be them people or beasts; not that there's much of a difference in some cases ) and to have one weaseled under deck was downright offensive.
"It's too bad," she chides through a scowl, flicking a knife in the direction she swore it was, but rats were tricky, slippery vermin. "You could have had a chance to live if you'd stayed off my ship, but then again rats aren’t very smart, are they?"
