AAAND part 2: misc pins because I had space for extra designs and we had some new characters in the pruna game as well as the Aberr DM's cute ship.
Top right girl belongs to @swoonami-warning
I made wooden pins for the one year anniversary of the Aberr game I'm in!

High Elf Echo Knight Fighter for a sorta side one shot thing in the main C&C campaign. His name is Janek Drogomir he's a dragon slayer in a world where dragons are pretty much gone. He uses adventuring to fund his hobby of looking for dragons that ran off into the underdark.
A little experiment with a multicolor reduction lino print!
Did a relief printing experiment using golden slow drying acrylic paint on sketchbook paper. This ink was recommended to me by the art store guy which I suspect now is his recommendation to art students who need something in a pinch.
Consistency is way thinner than what I'm used to, and the drying time IS longer, but its still drying pretty fast. I actually think going for the feel of an ink causes me to under ink my block. I've been testing a wood mounted hard lino block and a rubber speedy carve block with a wood clam press. My best results were on the soft rubber, the hard lino I had to reink and hand burnish to get something nice but spotty. Even still, in a pinch, with a gun to my head, I would still pick this over any cheap speedball formulation. The detail is really good when I get the right pressure! I haven't tried speedball's oil inks yet, I have some kind of fabric and paper formulation that claims to be oil (Its the pack you get at michaels lol) which was uuuh pretty frustrating to use as far as drying time went. No shockers there.
I'm ordering some caligo oil ink soon which I'm hoping will solve a lot of my gripes. I think at some point I'll need to get bulk paper as well because that may be an additional issue beyond the typical skill grind it takes to learn.
It's fun though! I'm gonna keep at it.
I got a relief printing press and ive been messing around these past few days. These are my best results over two days. I've narrowed down my issue to just my ink which is good! That's a pretty easy fix.
I'll have a nice scan once I can borrow my work scanner HAHA... will probably also try to see if I can wrestly my terrible ink into giving me a nice print on the black layer tomorrow.
Here's the ref for Elune's outfit specifically! The jacket collar does not make sense between these but shhh
The crew going to the ball!
