As soon as I finished my portfolio it’s time to start my next Cosplay-Sewing-Project. Some of you already know: There’s a comic-con in my hometown every two years and next year I’ll be cosplaying Mabel :V The fabric is here for this cute lil chubby:

Now it’s getting serious. This will hopefully be my “prom”-dress if I can make it in time. “Prom” is in 2 weeks and this is the first time I venture on a more complex dress. As you can see the front got a very large print. That’s because the fabric was a band T-Shirt before so it’s difficult to correct something in the pattern there without destroying the print.

I sewed the neckline a few months ago and after that I didn’t dare to work on this project anymore because I was so scared that I could ruin it.

Today I finally braced up and began to pin the zipper on the back. Tomorrow I will sew it on and also add the lace-part on the neckline (It will look similar to this then) and I’ll also stitch the upper part on the back (where the zipper is) up. After that comes a very tricky part because I wanted to add a burlesque-like skirt in turquoise to the back but I’d also like a long black tulle skirt around the dress. I just can’t decide. I guess I’ll add the burlesque skirt because it was my first idea and I just love those skirts. They’re more complex than the tulle skirt and it will be my first time making one but I guess I’ll do it.

Teil 1 meiner ersten DaWanda-Bestellung :D Es war Ausverkauf, deswegen hab ich mir mal was gegönnt lD Der dunkle Stoff mit den Blättern wird wohl mal ein Rock werden. Mit dem Karostoff hab ich bis jetzt noch nichts geplant. Aber ich überlege, ob ich daraus ein paar kleine Täschchen machen soll :D Dazu wären die niedlichen Motivbänder auch perfekt geeignet (Nahansicht folgt)

The dark fabric with the leaves is going to be a skirt one day. I don't know what I will do with the checked fabric but I think a few little bags would be nice :D The little ribbons with the cute motives would fit perfekt for that (I'll post a closer look on them soon)
