♚ : DO  YOU  AGREE  WITH  FANDOM  INTERPRETATION  OF  YOUR  CHARACTER  ?  

              in  most  cases    ,      no    .      then  again    ,      i  haven’t  been  active  in  the  kuroshitsuji  fandom  since  2013  so…  but  the  thing  is  that  there  were  always  two  versions  of  alois:  cry-baby    ,      sensitive  sad  boy  who  can’t  do  anything  for  himself  &  pretends  to  be  strong  but  really  he’s  broken  &  empty  &  pathetic  alois  or  bratty    ,      arrogant    ,      narcissistic  hypersexual  boy  who  likes  pushing  others  around  &  has  a  major  sadistic  streak  alois    .      

               in  truth    ,      he’s  really  in  the  middle  of  the  two    .      yes    ,      he  feels  like  there’s  a  void  in  him  &  feels  empty    ,      but  at  the  same  time  it  doesn’t  consume  him  &  influence  every  little  thing  he  does    .      he’s  perfectly  capable  of  sticking  up  for  himself    ,      &  is  honestly  incredibly  resilient  given  all  he’s  been  through    ,      &  he  shouldn’t  at  all  be  reduced  to  just  his  trauma    .      

            then  for  sadistic    ,      sex-crazed  alois    ,      it’s  true  he  can  be  such  a  brat  (  such . a . brat .  )  but  sadistic  ?  true    ,      he  took  hannah’s  eye  out    ,      but  that  was  honestly  more  of  a  power  play  i’m-in-control  thing  as  opposed  to  wow-i-love-mutilating-people  thing    .      i  also  hc  him  as  honestly  kinda  reluctant  when  it  comes  to  sex  ?  he  craves  it  because  he  was  literally  conditioned  as  a  kid  to  recognize  that  as  love    ,      &  to  him  it’s  more  about  knowing  someone  wants  to  fuck  him  rather  than  getting  fucked    .      especially  if  he’s  really  in  love  with  someone-  in  that  case  just  the  thought  of  sex  freaks  him  out  &  he  gets  nervous  about  being  touched    .

          alois !!  isn’t !!  a !!  slut !!  for  one    ,      he’s  fucking  14    ,      gay    ,      of  a  high  rank    ,      &  living  in  victorian  engl&  so  his  pool  of  who  he  can  even  have  sex  with  is  pretty  low    ,      but  also  his  attention-grabbing  is  a  trauma  response  to  being  sexually  abused  for  a  significant  portion  of  his  life    .      like  i  said  above    ,      for  him  being  purposefully  seductive  is  a  power-play  &  trauma-response  more  than  anything    ,      &  about  knowing  he’s  desired  rather  than  having  sex    .    

             BUT    ,      beyond  that    ,      i  think  alois  is  actually  pretty  smart  &  well  educated    .      i  mean    ,      he’s  shown  to  know  latin  after  all    .      while  in  the  manor    ,      he  would  oftentimes  sneak  out  of  the  earl’s  bedroom  at  night  &  go  to  the  library,  spending  a  lot  of  time  reading  books  in  an  effort  to  educate  himself    .      he’s  well-versed  in  classic  literature  &  really  enjoys  learning  about  new  scientific  research    .
