okay. i don’t know why everyone is so pissy at dean (jensen) for not responding “correctly” but like think logically about his character and the situation as a whole.

dean is like the most emotional shut down person/closed off character ever and jensen has played him like that forever. he has moments of breakdown (obviously hell and sam’s death, etc.) but he always shuts back down (i.e. 13A) because john did a NUMBER on dean. he’s john’s perfect soldier.

SO

his best friend/soulmate/savior/whatever else just professed his love for him and then literally killed himself. like ????? that reaction was shock and sadness and just everything combined. like literally the world is on his shoulders and the one stable thing (besides sam) just got engulfed and taken by black goo. like sorry I’d probably react the same?

idk if thats just me. i want to know peoples opinions on it though.
