dean who can’t get over cas’s death, who prayed to god for cas back, and knows that dying means he will get sent to the empty, decides to k*ll himself in the middle of a standard MOTW case knowing full well he may not come out of this alive, but knows exactly where he’s going. and who’s going to be there.

@hannahcoded had the idea that angel ashes could be a force for creation (like Anna's angel grace), leading Cas to wake up in a meadow of flowers when there was only grass before. And I said to myself, well what if it was- What if blue forget-me-nots grew where Cas' ashes were spread?

AU where spn is the same except it’s an open secret that dean is bisexual and frequently hooks up with men. like it’s something everyone knows but We Do Not Talk About. 

john ignores it altogether. sam sometimes tries to bring it up after stanford and have like a Moment with dean about it but dean is not having it. sometimes on cases they bump into other hunters dean has hooked up with or really wants to hook up with and there’s that same kind of flirting dean does with other men in canon except now there’s also the occasional sex scene. 

then after cas is introduced in season 4 and sam meets him for the first time and sees the way his brother looks at him, he flat out tells dean,

“don’t fuck the angel.”

“i’m not gonna fuck the angel,” dean says, outraged, because he’s comfortably bi but cas is still this unknown entity who scares and fascinates him in equal measures.

then, a few episodes later, once they’re a bit closer and dean is seeing cas as like an actual person, he goes up to sam and says,

“heads up, i’m probably gonna fuck the angel.”
