despite how odd it seemed, aj was actually looking forward to hanging out with dean. outside of her group of friends, he was one of the few people she could actually tolerate to be around. pulling up, she got out of the car and smiled closing the door and walked up to him. “hey. how are you?”

    —  dean looked at the blonde and smirked as he saw her, “ hey you. i’m good. how are you? wanna go inside? “ he asked, wiggling his eyebrow at her. he took a deep breath in as he opened the front door for her, finishing his cigarette before entering the house, “ so i know we had that thing for my dad’s company a couple weeks ago and like...i kinda had fun with you there. but uh, i was thinking maybe we could do it again? “ he suggested.

when dean called trevor out on his lack of affection when greeting him he couldn’t help but laugh, throwing his arms open as he moved towards him then. “well fuck, where are my manners. get the fuck over here then,” he chuckled as he pulled him into a hug, giving him a squeeze before he handed him his beer then. taking another sip of his own he raised his eyebrows when dean told him about another hotel opening the male had to attend. “guessing you can’t weasel your way out of it somehow, huh?” he hummed a bit before snickering at the thought that crossed his mind. “you need a date? i could come  and make sure it’s not boring,” he smirked around the mouth of his beer before tipping it back and finishing off the rest as he motioned to the canvas again. “seriously though, come and get your mind off shit and hurry up on that beer, you’re behind me by one.” he teased with a grin before getting over to his messy corner with his art supplies; picking up one of the cans and giving it a shake.

      — Dean laughed as his friend pulled him into a hug. he half hugged him back and smirked, “ much fucking better, man. “ he teased, raising his eyebrow as he stepped back. he laughed, shaking his head to the words, “ hell no. my dad would kick my ass if i tried. “ he joked, sorta. a scoff left his lips as he heard the words, “ i am offended to think that you think i can’t find a date. i’m a very sought after man. “ he teased, “ nah, i kinda already asked someone to go with me. next time though. “ he went to the fridge and grabbed a beer, “ jesus, man, i just got here. calm the fuck down. “ he joked, raising his brow.

     —  sitting outside of his house on the porch, dean waited for the girl to arrive. sure, they’d had this flirtatious track record but now was the time. now was the time for him to actually ask her to the dance. he felt stupid about it because dances weren’t his thing but the popular kids were her crowd. he took a puff of his cigarette as he waited for her. as he saw her pull up, he put out the cigarette and raised his eyebrow. the male stood up to face the car to wait for her.

after getting the last set of texts from dean trevor made a point of double checking the fridge in the garage before he made his way back over to the canvas he’d set up to start doing something with before his friend was due to come by; shooting him one last text to let him know he was already in the garage and to just let himself in. with a beer in one hand a sharpie in the other as he eyed the clean canvas, countless ideas coming to mind but instead he decided to finish his beer before doing anything drastic- just in time to hear the door to his garage open which made him turn to grin at his friend. “took you long enough man,” he teased as he moved to the fridge his dad kept the beer in, grabbing one for dean and passing it to him when he got close to him. “you’re lucky, if you’d been any longer i’d have started without you.” he motioned to the canvas that was hung on the wall, surrounded by spray paint cans and stencils and everything they could’ve needed to create anything trevor felt like. “how’ve you been though, dude?”
