Clarissa restrained the sudden urge to flinch at the sharp rebuff, instead taking a step off from the other in case this became a full fledged problem. She’d never really interacted with Hugo before, but naturally knew of him and seen him in action before, too. He was another person she would rather keep a distance of, yet did not want to cause an incident. “Oh, right.” Clarissa nodded, immediately following the boy’s instructions and disappearing through the girl’s bathroom just feet from her. Seconds later, she emerged laden with several paper towels. “You do not have to worry about this, I will take care of it,” she insisted in his direction, kneeling down to cover the small pile of water with a handful of the napkins. Soaking it up first.
If Hugo was being honest, he didn’t care about the mess or the wellbeing of whoever happened to slip in it. More than likely, he would have preferred to watch as someone made an ass out of themselves. Her quick reaction to his demand was enough to get him excited though he didn’t show it “And have you risk getting trampled when the bell goes off? No thanks” He took some of the paper towels from her and began dabbing the floor alongside her “Plus, you look like less of a loser if someone is helping you, you know?”
