This corner of the internet feels like coming home. I miss my fanfic days and miss chatting with you wonderful people. I'm getting back into writing and have started a substack. I'll be writing about creativity, fear, and monsters worth hunting in my mind. Sometimes some fiction too! I feel like a prodigal son - a lost soul returned. Hi SPN family… how has it been almost a decade?

First, I remain incredibly grateful for what we built here together. Writing for you all is in my fondest memories, and is an honor. Your words of encouragement meant and mean so much to me. And I am humbled that folks still read these works, and discover them.

Second, I wanted to let you know a little about where I’ve been. I’ve gone on to get a masters in social work, with a focus in substance use treatment. I worked in this field for a bit, and now I manage state and federal public health grants to do local free community health work for youth and adults. I’ve met my fiancé - and we are getting married in October! It’s wild to think how much has changed.

But, I’ve been brought back to these familiar threads for an unlikely reason. My job has been impacted by the administration cutting grant funding across the country. It’s caused so much uncertainty and stress for me - and I’m not sure things will last. That’s made me really question - what do I love to do and what is my purpose? It’s made me examine my life and what’s missing, and it’s become so clear that writing is that piece of me that’s fallen away. Writing is one of the only things that I feel is part of the fiber of my being, something that flows naturally and makes me and others happy. And it’s been here that I felt so supported and appreciated for that little writing passion of mine.

So I come back to the hallowed ground I used to spend hours writing for - and I’m measuring how to step back into the shoes I left empty for so long. I don’t know if that will look like supernatural fanfic again, or what reincarnation will come out of this era, but it feels like you are the folks I wanted to tell about this journey. You’re the ones I feel in debt to for your support, and so happy to share this revelation with. And maybe a little dean fic is just what my dusty writers block needs to get things flowing again.

I’m happy to be here - and thank you again for being a part of the journey. I hope over the past year your roads have been smooth, and when they haven’t been, I hope they’d led you somewhere better than before x

Stolen Works!

Recently I was on Wattpad and realized that user Princess5S0S has taken a lot of works from Supernatural fanfic writers. While she credits the writer at the very beginning of the fic, a lot of people don’t want their writings taken, even if they are credited. This is not okay! Please reblog this, message her, report her, whatever you can so she knows that it’s not okay to post other people’s work without even asking them first! You can find the stolen fics here and here. I know a lot of the author’s names are spelled incorrectly on her works, and a lot of people have changed their URLs. Please look at the list and notify these authors!

Attack on the inbox!

I have too many responsibilities atm, and they’re starting to catch up with me

So hopefully you’ve read in my previous posts that I’m leaving for Japan in just days now. I stay there for almost a month doing volunteer work. I’m really not sure where I’ll be staying 75% of the time, so blog activity will be an issue. Also, I’m packing right now. I’ll talk more about the japan/blog logistics later.

But, I’m going to make a run on the inbox right now! Just a heads up if you have something you need to send in, or if you’re awaiting an answer on something!
