Art of a Cuphead AU that I have never talked about. It’s somewhat diverged from Casino Cups.

The basic summary of it is that during the event of Casino Cups, something happened that triggered Cuphead and Mugman’s Calix Animi ancestry (plus some other stuff) that made them immortal.

Cuphead and Mugman split off years ago to go pursue their own things; they still visit each other, they’re just more independent. I imagine that after a couple decades and a couple thousand adventures, Cuphead has been around the block a few times that he’s grown tired of it. The novelty of immortality wore off so now he just chills about; still a magnet for trouble but less reckless about it. He’s a self-proclaimed retired adventurer.

(Just a note, he’s wearing chainmail, not fishnets. Despite being ‘retired,’ old habits die hard; never know when you need armor. The shirt is a gift from a friend)
