“I stopped talking about ten minutes back, kid,” Sage said, watching him continue to work. The blood on the items worrying him, but not as much as the fact that this guy seemed like he was still injured. “When was the last time you showered? Had something to eat? Slept more than two hours?” he asked, trying to hold back from taking his blood pressure.
“I’ll be honest with you, Doc--you are the doctor, right? I’m bad with names and um memories.” He started, still trying to place how he knew this guy, but he remembered he was a doctor and--shit, “I don’t remember and don’t think it’s really important. If you haven’t noticed, town’s gone to shit and we’re all next on the hitlist if we don’t do something and I’m not one to sleep it off.”
