dean: spends years going after seth after his betrayal not just for revenge but to make him feel what dean felt and to remind seth of what he took from them every single day, actually hates hurting seth but does it anyway because he deserves it and because dean's consumed by his loss and at least this way he gets to keep some part of seth, gets his revenge and is finally at peace and able to begin moving on, admits that he's still heartbroken 3 years later but can't hit seth with a chair when he asks and reunites with him because he's always loved seth and always wanted him back, betrays seth in a moment of overwhelming grief and rage and despair and seth lets him do it because he understands the pain he's dealing with and he doesn't want to hurt dean again, still hates hurting seth but he thinks he has to because seth is his weakness and he needs to destroy all the love in his heart so he can't feel that kind of pain again, leaves the company and seth is heartbroken and incomplete without his wrestling soulmate but supports him and just wants him to be happy

Yes, of course Roman belittles Seth and tries to diminish his accomplishments??? The two worst things that ever happened to Roman Reigns are Seth's betrayal and Royal Rumble 2015, those are twins scars that have never healed, they've hit those two notes over and over. Roman has never been able to beat Seth Rollins and it HAUNTS him. Seth haunts him, no matter how cool he tried to play things immediately post betrayal it just keeps bubbling up.

"He won't let me let go." No matter what Roman does there's Seth, still tied to him, still succeeding. This traitorous punk who still somehow has the fans singing his music, the fans who Roman pretends he doesn't care about. Roman built a whole faction of family members that was supposed to be impenetrable so no one could ever hurt him again the way Seth did (which didn't even work) and what does Roman do? Throws all of that success away to get one good lick in on Seth.

Roman lost the title because he did what Dean/Mox couldn't, hit Seth Rollins with a chair from behind. And Seth knew he would do it. Seth was COUNTING on him doing it. Ten years came full circle.

Roman lost because Seth wouldn't let him let go. That is some good shit right there

it's not 'good shit.' it's wwe erasing shield history and trying to force this absurd narrative that roman never forgave seth and that seth was the reason he became the tribal chief when there was zero hint of that in the actual canon story. roman forgave seth before dean did and teamed up with him in 2016 and then the shield reunited in 2017 and 2018 and 2019 and they teamed up again even after dean left, with seth being nothing but supportive and protective of roman. seth taunting roman with the shield betrayal and coming out to the music and in the gear in 2022 was horrible writing and should've never happened. he would never do that after he expressed how much he regretted betraying the shield and hurting dean and roman. they completely undid both their characters and their relationship with that farce of a match.

roman actually did beat seth several times in the past. and dean did beat the shit out of seth for literal years and also hit him from behind with the briefcase and took the title from him. he got his revenge in 2016 and was ready to forgive in 2017. if roman was so traumatised by seth's betrayal, why didn't he go after him in 2016 when it actually made sense? roman won everything there was to win and main-evented wrestlemania 9 times. why would he still care about seth and seth's success and things that happened a decade ago? his character is pretty bad and incoherent if that's true, especially after not caring at all from 2014-2022. y'all can invent whatever logic you want to try to explain away wwe's continuity failings but there's no way that's the story wwe was deliberately telling for the eight years between 2014 and 2022. they need to find a new narrative especially since seth was redeemed literally 7 years ago. seth let it go a long time ago. roman and wwe and the fans need to let it go too.

can’t believe people are buying this? the core of seth and roman’s relationship was always forgiveness, the same forgiveness dean couldn’t give seth and thus had them crash their heads until he realised he had to get over it. a wise rolleigns shipper taught me this when i used to find it crazy that roman was letting seth join him again without fighting or demanding his apologies: because roman had already forgiven him long before, back when “you’ll always be my little brother” still meant something.

wwe have a habit of retconning good storylines for cheap hype, they already tried it when face!seth said heel!dean ruined “six years of friendship” or “never heard him say the word love”. we’re lucky mox ran away in time before they definitively butchered his character too lol

Anyway, i’ve been asked this question so many times that i finally decided to write my ultimate ambrollins fic rec list. Just so you know, I favour oneshots and I’m a sucker for dean and seth’s post-breakup dynamic, so it’s mostly old works or recent works set during their three feuds between 2014 and 2016.
