That’s really cool of you to do, Dean Lex. I can write home and see if my mom might be willing to donate something. Even if it isn’t money, I know we have a bunch of theatre stuff just lying around the house. 

As for fundraisers, I was thinking maybe a classic car wash, when the weather warms up. Bake sales, street performances, that kind of thing. I feel like Boston is a liberal enough city that if they heard about what happened here, there’d be enough people who might be willing to support us. I’d like it better if you were the lead on this, but I get why you wouldn’t be comfortable with it. But maybe you should think about it? Get people to see you in a different light.

Theatre stuff would help tremendously for any musicals we might be putting on, or even just an open mic of sorts. 

All very excellent ideas, Emily, I think I have.. way too many to keep up with all of it. The students here are much more enthusiastic than I thought they’d be. I can think about it, princess, but - We’ll see. In the mean time, I’ll do all I can to make sure we get back on our feet.

I absolutely would love to rejoin the kink club, Sir, but I’ll understand if we have to wait a little longer for that. I can talk to my dads about funding but so far my only concrete idea is selling the flowers we grow on our gardening club. At least try to make it self-sufficient. But if you need anything else from me, I’d absolutely love to help, no matter what.

Hi Dean Stovall, I’m Madison McCarthy. I just arrived here yesterday. I would absolutely be interested in joining Kink Club. And if there is anything else that can I do to help assist fundraising for the school, I’m more than happy to help. Maybe a bake sale of sorts. I really do enjoy baking and not many people deny their love for baked goods. Also recycling. It’s good for the Earth and there are a lot of companies that actually pay back for whatever recycled pieces you give them.

I do think a bake sale would be good, we could even have a dinner of sorts. Recycling could be another thing to implement. I know that.. when I was younger my parents had to raise money for the church. One of our big things was selling plates of food. Spaghetti, chicken and rice, and I believe we have barbeque dinners at one time, too. Do you think that would be something we implement?

My family made some pretty generous donations in the past, and I’m sure they’d be happy to do it again. I’ll talk to them about it and find out what they want to contribute. 

This is probably kinda juvenile, but I remember my high school football team raised money by selling stuff – candy, magazines, stuff like that – but what really made bank was the concession stand. Everything we sold at home games went back into the team. I don’t know how that’d translate to a university setting when we don’t have competitive teams, but maybe it’ll spark an idea for someone else.

A concession stand would.. actually help a lot, but since we might have to cut a few of our teams, that might not be the best. If there’s a way to sell any sort of baked good that doesn’t cost much to make then maybe we could go for that. Are you close with any culinary arts majors? Even making our candy could work.

My dad sent me to a school that’s broke as fuck. Great, might as well stop unpacking then. 

At my old school, they put on some sort of dance show. All proceeds went to the family of some kid whose dad died in a car accident. I don’t know what the talent pool around here is like, but the school could host a talent show or something. Music, dance, stand up, erotic yodeling, whatever.

Talent show.. is something I hadn’t thought of, thank you, Ms. Lopez. Though, I am intrigued to know where you got erotic yodeling from. 

Kink Club is something I hold in my apartment where we discuss the safety of  certain kinks. If people are curious, they can ask questions without judgement or get advice from others who may have had experience with it. It’s not a demonstration, more just a chance to sit around and talk about a common topic.

Well, Dean, if I can say – if what I saw during the demonstration earlier this week was any indication, we have a veritable wealth of talent at this school. I had hoped that we could show everyone that all our students, regardless of mark, are capable and intelligent and innovative, and I believe that’s exactly what we did, so – if you’ll pardon the business speak – perhaps we could leverage all of that into an art fair. It wouldn’t necessarily be like the festival that we already held, but might perhaps be more … ah, abbreviated? But we could display artwork and photography from our visual arts students and hobbyists, which could be for sale if the artist so desired, and show performances throughout the day – I myself would be happy to host a poetry slam – and I know we have immense musical talent among the student population, both within the major and without. 

We need to show the outside world that Westmore is cultivating talent, and that allowing submissives and Switches to study what they wish is a positive and good thing; if we open our doors to the public and also happen to profit from it financially as well as culturally – well, I don’t see the harm in that. 

As for the second point: of course I would love to join Kink Club again. I’m … not sure what funding would be required for it, though; perhaps it’s something that might be easily covered by club dues for those interested in continuing? Depending on what the operating costs are – again, I’m not sure, since it’s mostly just a discussion group? – a nominal membership fee could easily cover the expenses.

An art fair would actually be a really good idea, a cover fee plus a chance to buy artwork - whatever people are interested in and opening it up to the town. I.. that’s a wonderful idea, Phoebe. 

We don’t need much funding for Kink Club, sweetheart. It’s just a discussion group in my living room. But maybe those interested could.. come up with a fundraising idea of our own? Like an educational pamphlet of sorts.

Just a small announcement and a question. Or several, really. I’ll be donating the profits from selling my house months ago to the school to help keep us afloat for as long as that may last. It’s not much, but it should help. If there are any of you whose families want to contribute, please speak to Dean Martin directly. I can play the middle man, if you’d like. 

My first question, however, those of you who were a part of Kink Club before.. I can fund it on my own without needing support from the school. Is that.. something you would all be interested in rejoining? And my second point to bring up is if there are any fundraising ideas, aside from the musical ( Excellent idea for the proceeds to go directly to the school, by the way ), I’d like you to come forward and we can set up a committee of sorts. It.. most likely won’t be spearheaded by me, as I’m sure many of you will be relieved to hear.

Amira could feel her throat tightening again as Lex dropped kisses and touches along her skin, clearly trying to keep her calm. She didn’t want apologies or pity, or even explanations. She just wanted to tell Lex how she felt, because the Dominant had asked her. Her fingers dug into the tops of her thighs as she remembered the night that seemed to have ruined so much between them. “I deserved what you did. I threatened a student. I would’ve been punished even if those hell bitches weren’t here.” She hitched a breath and turned in Lex’s arms. She buried her face into her neck and let her lips press against the soft skin there. “Please don’t apologize. I understand and… and if we have to wait a year, five years, a hundred years, that’s okay. I just want to be good for you. I don’t want to remind you of that. I want… I just want you. All of you. Even the parts that you hate about yourself, because that’s still you. I–” She let out another frustrated breath, her thoughts swirling too quickly in her mind. “I just want to help.”

Her jaw clenched slightly. Amira was right, she absolutely would have been punished even if the Headmistresses weren’t around. Not as severely. Not as ridiculously monstrous as she had - She cut her own train of thought off, choking back a sound that threatened to bubble up out of her throat. No sobbing, no ugly crying. There’d been enough of that to last a lifetime over the past month. When Amira turned, she blinked in surprise and adjusted so they’d both be comfortable in the position. “Baby, you are good for me. I just need to heal.” She kept her voice soft and sighed out a chuckle at her huff. “Slow down.” Lex leaned back a bit to get Amira out of her neck and leaned down to capture her lips before she could turn away or burrow again. It was a lazy kiss, and her fingertips lingered against her jaw even after she pulled away. “You do help. I don’t know where I’d be right now without you.” Her features twisted a little. She knew where she’d be. Alone, a monster ( though, wasn’t she already? ), her beliefs would have been warped into something that she never would have agreed to - all to make it through a day.

Amira knew that the second she spoke, that things would break. Whatever small calm that they had managed to put together would shatter, and she didn’t want that. But it happened anyways. Lex’s hand pressed against her stomach, warm and solid. She could feel something change between them, the shift palpable and it was exactly what she was hoping to avoid. “I know you wouldn’t.” It felt foolish now, to be thinking about what happened. She felt like a teenager, throwing an unnecessary temper tantrum because she didn’t get her way.

“When you… stopped.” Amira spoke haltingly as she tried to find the right words that wouldn’t push Lex away or send her spiraling into a deeper pit of self-loathing. “I felt like… you didn’t want me. Because I’m damaged goods.” It sounded silly, even as she said it aloud. “And it hurt but I didn’t…” She trailed off again. “I didn’t want you to feel guilty for not being… able to do that. Because I understand. And I was being selfish. I didn’t want to be the reason you hurt more. And now I am anyways.”

There was a sharp inhale as soon as Amira started to speak, but she blinked and reigned herself in to listen to what she was going to say. Pretty much everything she had assumed was true, but it still stung a little to hear it. Her hand curled a little at her stomach, rubbing with her knuckles - unable to keep still, but when could she ever around Amira? - and then flattening against her stomach again. Looking up to the TV, she saw some commercials playing and nosed into her neck again, trying to comfort her through until she was done. 

“You’re not damaged goods.” It was all she could think to say, and yes, she was hurting but that was to be expected. She made the effort to keep touching Amira, keep pressing soft kisses to what she could reach. Anything to prove to her that she wasn’t going to let what she felt towards herself push them further apart. “I do want you. I want you so much it’s hard for me to stay away sometimes. I want you every hour of every day.  But.. I look at you.. and I see what I did to you. What I put you through the day after and that entire night and I want to -.. I feel so sick.” She was breathing a little heavier now, erratically, and tears had started to well up. “You’re not hurting me. They hurt me. You have been nothing but wonderful for me, and to me. And even that.. that makes me-..” She trailed off and tightened her grip a little, burying her face into Amira’s shoulder. “I’m sorry. I wanted tonight to be nice for us, and I ruined it.”

Amira relaxed a little more wen Lex said that the show she picked was fine. Though she probably could have picked a trashy reality television show and Lex would’ve gone with it. Blinking twice, she shivered as soft fingers slipped under her shirt, and confusion washed over her. Only an hour ago, she had been pushing Amira away, and now…? After a slight pause and hesitation, she let out a quiet breath. “Green.” Her voice sounded strange in her own ears, and she could barely focus on the screen in front of her with Lex touching her like that. Though she supposed that was the point, especially when she heard her question.

She stayed quiet for a long moment because she didn’t know what to say. There was the truth, of course, which would only hurt Lex more. But she was too mentally exhausted to come up with a lie. So staying silent was easiest. Amira knew that eventually Lex would get it out of her, so she looked down at her hands which were fidgeting in her lap. “I didn’t want you to see me like that.”

With the few moments of silence, Lex’s fingers kept swirling over her skin and maintained a slow, steady pace until Amira spoke again. Her fingers stilled, but she didn’t remove her hand and instead pressed her palm flat against her stomach, only continuing to rub with her thumb. It was nice to feel connected. At the very least physically. It still sort of felt like they were worlds away from one another, and Lex kept biting into the tip of her tongue to try and reign herself in. There were things that didn’t need to be said right now, even if it would help her. Or maybe she would view it as pity. Her mind swam with the conflicting emotions, the sickness starting to swirl in her veins again. That self-loathing like bile burned at her throat.

Taking a deep breath, she pulled herself back into the moment just as Amira spoke. “And why’s that?” Another gentle stroke of her thumb, and chaste kiss to the top of her head. “I’m not going to think of you differently if you’re upset or need a moment to break down. That’s human.” Her free hand fell down to Amira’s hands and she took one in hers, interlocking their fingers together. “I would like you to tell me why you were upset. I can guess, but I don’t want to be wrong. We should talk about it.”

Amira didn’t have to wait long before Lex was moving towards her again, slim arms wrapping around her shorter body until she was pressed up against her Dominant. She sank into the embrace as the vice grip in her chest loosened a little. Lex could still touch her. She still wanted to. Amira dropped her forehead against Lex’s collarbone and nodded. “I know.” Her voice was muffled into Lex’s skin. She did know. It was Lex with her tonight, and not Sir, and Amira hated herself because for a brief moment, she wished that it was Sir. Sir wouldn’t have stopped, wouldn’t have cared about the scars on her body. But that wasn’t fair, and at the end of the day, she wanted Lex, not Sir.

As Lex tugged her towards the bed, she followed easily and curled up in her lap. “Okay.” She leaned back against her, feeling that same tightness loosen a little more as she breathed in tandem with her Dominant. They didn’t need all of that extra stuff. It was nice, and Amira hoped that it wouldn’t be like this every time, but tonight, she was okay with just being with Lex. Her hand fumbled with the remote and flipped through the channels until she landed on some history show, complete with overexaggerated re-enactments and solemn interviews. “Is this okay?”

As they settled together, Lex closed her eyes and let herself just breathe, pushing away all thoughts of before and what she’d done to her just a few weeks ago. The channels changing motivated her to open her eyes again and look up from where she’d been nuzzling into Amira’s neck. A quick glance told her that the channel was exactly what she expected it to be and she let out a soft chuckle, lips pressed to her neck. “This is okay.” Her arms tightened a little about the smaller woman, and she relaxed back into the headboard. “What color are you?” 

She murmured the question while her fingertips dipped underneath the shirt and traced patterns against her stomach. There was no way she’d be able to stomach sex tonight, but skin against skin she could handle - craved it. “Why did you go to the bathroom?” It was a simple question, and she made sure to keep her voice soft, still wanting to focus on taking care of Amira and not on her own lapse.
