Prayer for Healing

Dear God,

I praise and thank you for all the blessings that you showered upon me. But now I’m facing a big challenge. I’m in terrible pain and worried for my family. Lord, if you’re willing please heal me. I know I don’t have the right to demand because I only live under your mercy and grace.

Lord I don’t have enough funds to go for a doctor’s check-up and even an operation to my fractured tail bone. And now it’s getting worst, oh God please have mercy upon me. My family is totally dependent upon me as their provider and head of the family. Lord have mercy upon my sons for they are still small to suffer with me and my wife who is also struggling for life’s challenges. I truly believe Lord that only you can heal me and you’re my only hope. Jesus rescue us from this situation and if this is your will, please sustain us and pour out  your grace upon us that we may survive as we face this problem.

Lord, may we see your goodness on this and if ever we don’t understand what will happened to us, increase our faith and wisdom that we may still see you as our true and living God.

I love you Lord and i still want to serve you and see my family serving you.

In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Brother and Sisters, please include us in your prayers. Your prayers will be a great help for us. I’m a christian, serving the Lord in the worship team and working as well in the I.T. industry. I have two wonderful kids (2 and 7 yrs old) and lovely wife who is always supportive and loving to me.

Struggling to be good

Dear God,

I love you so very much, but I am afraid I have not shown that very well this past year. You know I am in my first relationship with a boy, and it has become very serious. It is serious in a lot of the good ways- he is steady, kind, and thoughtful; we are loyal, we talk a lot, and we care deeply for each other. But we fell into sin. And it’s so very heavy to lift ourselves out of the hole we dug for ourselves. We began having sex, not something that either of us ever intended or wanted to do for all the right reasons. We knew it would complicate the relationship. We knew it was sacred and holy. We knew it was meant for a man and a woman to become one person. We were strong Christians who had a good relationship with you. But one thing led to another, and it has been hard to stop. There are so many reasons why we should stop! I am in college and can’t afford to get pregnant, and neither of us are ready to raise a baby. We are too selfish to commit that act of utter selflessness. I am hurting the trust of my family- I love them so much and could not bear to know what they would think of me. I am hurting my relationship with my boyfriend- we plan to get married, but will our relationship be just as full and holy as it would have been without our sin? What if we don’t get married- he will have to tell his wife about me, the woman who took a part of something sacred meant for only him and his wife. Most of all, it is hurting my relationship, as well as my boyfriend’s relationship, with you, God. Dear Lord it makes me so sad, so unbearably unhappy that I have hurt you this way. I can’t even count how many times I have told you that I would stop, and then I broke my vow to you. I know that I have caused you so much pain, and suffering. I want to come back into your arms so badly, but I am afraid of promising you my vow of chastity and then breaking it. Dear God, please help me. Please guide my boyfriend and I back into your arms so that we may walk in the light, on the path you have laid down for us. Please help us to become the Christians you put us on the earth to be, so that we may glorify you in all your wonder.

Help Me Do Something

Dear God,

I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m so lost. It feels like everything I thought I was good at has slipped through my grasp and now I’m left floundering in the dark. I’m so scared that my paralyzing fear of the future and of my own failures will prevent me from doing what you want me to do with my life. I know you have a plan, but it’s so hard to imagine what it could possibly be right now. I’m so full of stress and anxiety and worries and anger that I just don’t know what to do. I feel like I’ve hurt people that I love and don’t know how to repair those relationships. Please, God, help me. Help me to do something, anything, to get just a little bit further on this path you have for my life. I pray that you please give me peace of mind as I work through all of these things that are stressing me out. I pray that you please help me to see the point of view of those that I have hurt and those that have hurt me so that I can work towards rebuilding the relationships that were once so strong. Please Lord, do your work through me, because I can’t do your work on my own. I can’t do any work on my own. I’m lost and alone and incapable of finding my way, so please, guide me through this patch in my life. Please see me through this and bring me your peace and wisdom. I’m in such great need of it right now. Thank you for everything that you have done for me, and thank you for everything you will continue to do through me. Use me as your tool to further your kingdom. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

The oil to my lamp is running dry

Dear God,

I’m lost, I don’t know where you are, I have lost my faith, my hope, my dreams. I feel like I’m floating on a river on a starless night. Ever since my second semester of my senior year of high school everything has gone wrong and I couldn’t find you anywhere, I still can’t see you. I found out my girlfriend was moving that semester to the other side of the country, it broke my heart. I prayed to you every night, begging and crying and weeping that you would have her stay - then I graduated high school and I’ve asked for guidance through college as I begin the journey, but still no answer with only one week left of my first semester of college, a whole year later. It’s becoming harder and harder to keep my head up. My depression is bad. Some days I drive home and wonder just how much easier it would be if I just went as fast as I could and ran into a pole or a building, just ending it in the hope that you would forgive me, but I know you wouldn’t - you also know I can’t forgive you. You have just left me to die alone never speaking, never showing your face, and never caring what happens. I loved you so much. You gave me the love of my life and I praised you for it. It became a part of my testimony, about what a great GOD you are. But where are you now? You just let her go, let her move with no answer, no meaning, no help, and no guidance. I’m running out of the faith that is the oil to the lamp that is the light of my life. If you are out there GOD, if you care, if you love me, please, please, I beg you, help me… In your son Jesus’s name I pray to you, amen.

I'm losing my father

Dear God,

My daddy has dementia. He was such a funny, clever, brilliant man, a good doctor, husband, father, brother, son and friend. He walked into hospital in May, was diagnosed in June and came home in July. It's September and already he's bed-ridden, can't walk and can't speak properly. I've been losing my daddy so quickly I can hardly bear the sorrow. Now for the past two days he can't even swallow at all. I don't know what to do. He will die unless you help him eat. If I take him to hospital they'll put him on a drip but it will break his heart to go back. He's already talking of starving himself to death. Please help me Father God. I don't know what to do. We really need your help and your strength and your grace to get us through this. And we need your wisdom and discernment to give Daddy the best care we can. O Lord save us. Get us out of this one soon, please. In Jesus' name, please hear my prayer. Love, Willie

Forgive me, I need your love

Dear God,

I appear before you to ask for your forgiveness, I turned my back on you throughout my teen years and for that I have suffered. I had a difficult time in many aspects of life and I feel like this wrong doing has happened to me because of my neglect. Now I am an adult and I am entering new chapters in my life, new chapters that I want you to be in with me. I need your guidance, I need your love, I need your light to shine upon my life and bring back the warmth and happiness it lacks. Right now Father, I have met a man, a good man who I want to be with, please Lord forgive me of my wrongs and bless this relationship, bless him too. I also want you Lord to help me along on my new career path. Show me the way to Christianity once again Lord, I come to you with open arms and an open heart.

In your name merciful Father, I ask this of you,

Prayer for reconciliation with ex-girlfriend

Dear God,

Please bring my ex-girlfriend back to me. We dated for almost 3 years and were long distance for most of the 1st year. When we finally moved to the same city after graduating college the stress of my new job and all the changes in my life took their toll and brought a lot of negativity. I think I was struggling with depression and by being withdrawn and not appreciating how good she was to me I slowly pushed her away. Now she is with someone else and I realize how much I love her and want another chance for the future we talked about together. I want to marry her. Please pray that this situation will work out for both of us, and that her heart will be opened to the good in me and how much I love and care for her. I have learned so much and become a better person and closer to God because of her and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

Bless this relationship

Dear God,

I pray to you today to bless my relationship with my significant other. You and I both know we have hit a bit of a rough patch in our relationship and need all your support and blessings and help we can get. I pray to you for your forgiveness for things we have both done wrong in our relationship lately. This man is an absolutely incredible man, he’s the one that I honestly cannot imagine living my life without. I’m praying to you today, as I do most days, to be with us, to help get us back on track in our relationship. I pray that you will give both of us the strength and support and blessings to work together to make this thing work. Because without him, I don’t know where I would be. I truly believe he is the one you sent here for me. So please Lord, bless our relationship, strengthen our relationship and give our relationship a strong, wonderful future together.

Help Me Decide To Stay Or Go

Dear God,

I’m sure you know this already, but I’m in a bind. I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 7 years now, and I don’t love him anymore. I’d like to leave him, and move out of town, but he’s been having a horrible few years and as far as he’s concerned, I’m the only thing that’s going right in his life. We’ve had a nice relationship. We’re friends. He’s kind, and not abusive in any way. He’s just not affectionate or interested in anything that I’m interested in - which includes spiritual pursuits and having the need to help people. He just doesn’t have a connection to anything outside of his own petty needs, and try as I might, I can’t help him see it. It’s really hard to live in the same house with someone like that and not feel sad for the world, as a whole.

For the last 3 years I’ve been working so hard, just trying to convince myself that I can love him again, and everything will work out and be alright. But it’s not happening, and I’m wasting my life waiting for things to get better. He’s not even trying to be a good boyfriend, and our life is going nowhere. There’s no growth to be had here, and it’s time for me to blossom and move on. I want to go on pilgrimage next year, and spend time at a meditation retreat, and these are things that are alien to him.

For him right now I’m just the person paying the other half of the rent and cooking dinner now and then. It’s a soulless relationship. I want so much more, and I deserve so much more. But I just can’t bring myself to hurt him when he needs someone to bolster his spirits in this time of need. Please help me leave, Lord. Please give me the strength I need to take care of myself. I’ve given him long enough. I’ve tried for years when he hasn’t. I’m just going to get old and wither away here waiting for things to get better.

Why is Love so complicated?

Dear God, 

I have grown up knowing that all I ever want to have deep down, is Love. 

I am nearly 24 now, and I feel like I haven’t experienced the feeling of love as how I imagined it to be. I want to be held tightly, not ever to be let go, to share a connection with someone and feel it forever, to go through experiences with that person and to truely know that both I and that person would want to spend as much time as possible together.

God, I spend my time looking for this, I think too much about it, and when I don’t have it, I want it and ask why don’t I have it, I know by doing this I’m pushing back what I most want. Help me to get further to what it is I so badly want to feel. 

O God, I thought I felt this and made this connection with him this time last year, and he said he did too, but why did everything turn out this way. Why am I now in a place where he is not with me anymore and I am lost, but still wanting to feel that same Love. I know that with him, it can’t be the same, but i still think about him. Please help me to understand why things turned out how they did, and help me to free myself from that pain so that I can attract that which I want most, 

So I can become whole again and find a whole person that is ready to commit and accept real love in all its forms.

Lord, I ask for strength and patience to develop into the person I want to be, to feel what I know is true and to find Love.

There is no other god but thee, The Help in Peril, The Self Subsisting.

Please Heal My Family

Dear Lord Jesus,

After years of being divorced and a being single parent, my once abusive ex is now back in my life. He has divorced again and has another child, and while I still have a lot of healing to do, we have been trying to work things out. Lord we are having such a hard time. I expect him to do better as he is being blessed with the gift of having his family back. He expects it to be easier and is concerned with loneliness because he is also stationed on the other side of the country. We fight when we talk about the past, but it isn't relevant to our future, except that we need to get past it. I believe in our family. I accept all of his baggage. I was single for years and he is the only one I have allowed back into my heart…My years of emptiness and loneliness meant i didn't give my life to another man nor did I have another family with anyone else. It does hurt that I have so much to accept Lord. He doesn't see my needs. Please Lord, let Him see. I ask Lord that you will fill Him with compassion and understanding. I ask that you would heal BOTH of us Lord and commit our family to you, Broken and Beautiful but for you to mend. Lord, I relinquish my own power and give in to yours. We cannot do this without you. Your strength is made perfect in our weakness, and I accept your strength and give you my weaknesses. You Promised to never leave us nor forsake us so I ask Lord that you simply make a way for us where there seems to be no way. Bring him back to this part of the country and allow us to be near each other again. Lord I ask that you would intercede and bring us a miracle!! You know our family is established here and i asked that you bring him to us safe and sound. You know who and what situation to move to make that happen Lord, and you are faithful.

Thank you Lord for your many many blessings…and for hearing this desperate plea!

At the end of my rope...

Dear God,

You know that I am in a place of fear and hurting. I seem to be always behind in life, I have lost my second job in three months and have no one to blame but my self. Rent is due and I dont wanna ask for more help from friends and family. I feel like everyone is looking at me like whats wrong with me.  I know that behind the scene thats what they think of me. I just want to move forward in life and at least be able to walk with my head held high and be proud of who I am. It has been almost 7 years of struggling I feel like every area of my life is not glorifying to you or myself and it is a shamble. Please Lord help me to achieve something to make you proud to call me son…I feel so empty and a failure…. please send your spirit to guide me in life to make a change….. I love you Father…..

Forgive My Failings

Dear God,

I am weak. Help me to be stronger…I try to remember you and to seek you every day, but lately, things keep getting in the way. Lord, my best friend’s mom is terminally ill, my own mother has been depressed and sick for years, my brother is so depressed he is dropping out of college, and my family is living from paycheck to paycheck. Help me be there for them, and help me be strong for them, because I am weak, and I have my own struggles on top of it. Lord, I feel so selfish telling you my grievances on top of all of these things, but I have to because I need help, too. Every day I struggle with feelings that I am not good enough…not for school, not for life, not for a girlfriend. I can’t focus on my schoolwork, and I stopped taking my medication months ago because it made no difference in how I perform in school or how I feel…and for a while, I was even doing well. Some days are better than others…some days I can be driven and optimistic. Some days, I can’t move forward I’m so defeated and anxious and depressed. Lately, all I’ve been is unfocused and miserable. I tried to talk to an old friend who lives far away in the hope that we could have a romantic relationship…why, I don’t know. I just needed to give it a shot. Had to. In hindsight, this is the worst time to even consider something like that, which is probably why we can’t even seem to click in friendship right now. I just get so nervous and anticipate rejection, and it screws everything up.

Lord, I know I am a sinner. Please forgive my sins and forgive my failings, and help me to be stronger. Bless my family, bless my friend and his mother, and fill them all with joy. I know You are near… Amen.

Help My Brother

Dear God, I have seen my brother slog all his life but has had little or no success…He is determined to turn things around however has no clear direction, he lacks focus and doesn't go that extra mile. 

I cant see him struggle anymore, please stay by his side and make things work. Stay by him and show the right direction, help him walk the right path, to choose the right business. I pray to give him a peaceful and a satisfied life, please don’t disappoint him.

Dear Lord,

I feel so confused and lonely. I want to know your heart, Lord. I want to follow Christ as the only way, the only path, Lord. But I don’t know which path to take. Please, God, open a door for me. Please open any door and give me peace. Lord, I know that you are here and I know that you are near. I know that my body is a temple for the Holy Spirit. Please guide me, Lord. Please, give me wisdom and strength and courage because I feel so utterly weak right now. I’m getting through each day one day at a time, just clinging to the knowledge that your mercies are anew every day.

Please, Lord. I’m crying out to you with all my heart and all my mind and all my soul.

Unravel my life

Dear God,

I don’t really know if my request is worth your listening too!

I always seem to be whinging, but I have no one else to share my hopes fears stresses with so here goes again.

Lord I’m always taking that leap of faith you say to do but am I not hearing correctly, am I deaf? or just selfish and ignorant…

Lord Please help me Unravel  my life, I know these things seem mundane and and day to day but I need you day to day Lord I need you in my mundane …Family, work, house, Taxes ALL these things I need to you to take control of Lord…I can hardly speak because of the pressure of these things and I want to hand them over to you Lord, please help me to hand them over and to stop taking them back.

this is my prayer Lord … please take control of ME .. it’s too hard trying to do it myself.. I can’t do it myself anymore.

Dear God, I need you.

I am hurting. I cannot move on. I am lost where you left me last year, I am not as strong as you think I am, I don’t deserve the credit you are giving me because I know how much I can handle, and even when you tell me that you are in control- I want to believe that you are doing this for a greater plan, a plan that is beyond my comprehension but then I break down over and over again and the tears won’t stop flowing.

I am afraid, and I am weak. I have cried time and time again asking you to provide me with answers to all of the questions I have- and you know my heart, you know how much I need you in my life, but every time you show up you my life becomes heavy, and this burden you have placed upon me is not something I can handle right now, and I wish you would stop thinking that I am strong enough because I know I am not. Lord, take this burden and help me to deal with my circumstances.

I am lost with and without you. I don’t know what to do.

I just know that I cannot handle this right now.
