Seeing Julie in the flesh warmed his heart greatly. Already on the verge of tears, Sloane managed to hang onto his eldest daughter as he spoke. “I missed you too! At least you haven’t forgotten me completely.”
He picked up her bag, holding the door open enough for her to walk in first. “How was the trip?”
Juliette couldn't help but keep a big smile plastered across her face as she walked into the house. Going to medical school was quite the challenging decision to make, but she knew she'd put in all the work necessary to achieve her goals. Even though she should be getting back to school now, she made the detour to Sloane's house. With everything going on in her life, she needed her family.
"My trip was great! Many perks of being able to use a private jet again. And of course I can't forget about my family. You're my number one. Always." Julie said that, until she heard the excited giggles of her little brother from the other room. Gasping with excitement herself, Juliette ran over to where Alex was, immediately calling out his name and picking him up to give him a warm hug. "Big A! Oh I've missed you buddy! I take it back, this little munchkin is tied for number one with my baby girl, Rosie. Sorry dad!"
