Saint Queran's Holy Well, Islesteps, Dumfries

St Queran's Holy Well lies near Islesteps just outside Dumfries and was once famed for the curative properties of its water, especially for women and children. It is also a pagan Clootie Well with offerings left in the form of cloth, coins, etc.

I woke up this morning and randomly wanted to re-do another old drawing; this time of Ellamae fighting. Ellamae is one of my characters who discovers she is not who she thinks she is, and while coping she has to decide what’s worth protecting and fight the monster within herself.

Another quick sketch for fun of my character Ellamae. It still does not look right to me, but it’s good enough for now. : )

Because I was on a roll, I decided to draw this too. This is my character Ellamae Holt. Its super sketchy, but its more for the costume design than anything.

I am always trying to get rid of my sketchy style, but this time I decided to embrace it. 

This is one of my characters named “Farryn Alvey.” She is a little bit crazy and works as a pharmacist. Within her company, she also employs a series of flying ships, so pirates are always raiding her cargo. To those who do not know, Victorian pharmacist were also responsible for making fireworks, so unfortunately for those who cross her, she tends to blow people up.

She should be in the next chapter of Haze.

And yes, yes she does have a pet flying squirrel.
