How to Give Your Girl the World <3
Got a lover who's a sucker for princess treatment? Someone who fantasizes about living in a castle and getting expensive presents delivered often? Because that's who I am <3 Though my partner sometimes struggles to live up to my ridiculous expectations. So I thought, why not make a guide on how to treat your lady like the princess she is (while trying to avoid spending all your savings) Though this is showing off my more materialistic side, so rather than the complete guide on how to be a charming lover, this week's post will simply be gifts fit for your princess <3
Now, when it comes to 'Princess Treatment', there are many important aspects. You've gotta have the right behaviour, presentation and of course, a princess-worthy gift. Behaviour is a bit more complicated, so I might cover this in a future post, but making things look pretty & presentable? That I can do!
It all depends on what sort of gift you have;
For boxes it's easy! If the box has a 'busy' design, wrap it up in either white wrapping paper or brown craft paper. Then, tie a ribbon around the box (Pink for me please!) There are many tutorials online on how to tie a ribbon if you're unsure.
For oddly shaped gifts, such as teddy bears, you can use one of my fav ideas. Buy a box that fits the base of the object (it doesn't have to fully fit in the box as we won't need the lid) Fill the box with some of that cute coloured shredded paper you see in fancy gift baskets and place your gift on top! It's low effort, but looks more thoughtful than just giving the gift as is. Win-win!
Anything else can simply be put in a gift bag! It's not the cutest, but they're reusable and convenient. Maybe slap on a ribbon to be safe though!
Remember, the dollar store is your friend. Cute boxes, packaging, and ribbons for cheap? Yes, please! Especially around Valentine's, they tend to be the best stores to get anything heart-shaped, coloured, and themed <3
Now onto the best bit, gift ideas! These are all on my personal wishlist, so if you feel like making a donation, don't hesitate! Wink wink
Macarons
They're small, they're cute & they come in a bajillion colours? Sign me up! Just make sure your girl doesn't have a nut allergy, as they're typically made with almond flour.
Handpicked Daisies
Everyone likes to receive a bouquet, but sometimes buying flowers isn't all that good. It can be seen as low effort if they're the sorts of flowers your girl isn't too fond of, and they tend to lack that special something. Handpicking your own flowers though? It's thoughtful and shows that you care enough to put in the effort. Tie them up with a ribbon and it's just as nice as a fancy bouquet <3
A Slice of Cake
Your girl got a sweet tooth? Buy her a fancy cake slice! Stores like The Cheesecake Shop can be really pricey when it comes to the prettier cakes, but most of the stores have singular slices you can buy. That way, you can have a sweet treat and not have to stress about having to finish a whole cake.
Small Plushies Buying a cutesy teddy bear for your boo seems to be one of the gifts you only get on Valentine's, but I think it's a good year-round gift. I feel it's better to gift small plushies, so it's easier to find places for them. I personally have a narwhal plushie named Eef who stays in the car, and a basket in my room for all the others.
Necklace (with your initial)
Now, this is one of the more romantic gifts in my opinion. A dainty chain with your lover's initials to wear close to your heart? Super cute! Make sure you know whether your girl's a Golden Goddess or Silver Sweetheart first.
