The reason I love Heidi Hansen

She tried. She understood that Evan didn’t like talking on the phone and she offered an alternate solution. She wanted what was best for Evan. She didn’t tell him to “get over it” like a lot of parents do. She wanted to help him through it. She may not understand anxiety and depression completely, but she tried to understand it. Sometimes that’s all you can do.

She may not have been there all the time, but she was a single mother trying to make a good life for her and her son. It may not have been perfect, but she tried.

Let’s not forget that.

i know i don’t have a lot of followers, so i guess this blog is sorta just for me? but i have some stuff i’m super excited about, so i’m just gonna talk about it i guess ??

im the vice president of art club at my school, and it’s really helping me to become a better artist myself. i used to love to draw, and this is getting me back into it. plus, i’m in AMA club (alternative music appreciation). both of those combined are really helping me fight my anxiety and talk to new people, and i’m so proud of myself. second of all, my school is doing a production of In The Heights, and i’m designing all of the backdrops and our playbill! i’m super excited. that’s all :))

so i finally got to see The Book Of Mormon today and it was amazing! when i first heard of the plot, i thought it wasn’t possible to make it interesting. but i’ve been to A TON of broadway shows, and this has by far been the funniest. everything was just so perfect, i would see it 100 times again. 10/10 would recommend :))
