Hey everybody! Just thought I'd mention something. Even though this is a study blog, it is firmly anti-hustle culture. Study hard, work hard, but do it because you want to. You do not need to dedicate all of your waking hours to the pursuit of academic or professional achievement. It is perfectly acceptable to work towards your basic needs, and find a sense of purpose elsewhere in life.

P.S. No shade if your education or career is your passion. I am in that group. Just make sure not to beat yourself up when you don't monetize your skills, aren't feeling productive, etc.

Maybe it’s just my soup-loving instincts, but food in a bowl is so much better than food on a plate. Why eat a salad on a plate when I can eat it in a bowl? Why eat pasta on a plate when I can eat it in a bowl? Mashed potatoes and gravy! Pie and ice cream! Curry! Soups and stews! Beans! Bowls are Round and Good and shaped for your hands! Hold bowl close and feel warmth!! Heck yeah!!

a gentle reminder that you just need to make things a tiny bit better for your future self. reading one page, writing one sentence, getting half of a task done, it’s still good.
