My #dearleila graduated from Kindergarten a few weeks ago and I had the honor of making the cake for their class promotion's reception, which was summer/beach/surf-themed; hence, the cake's design. 🏄🌊 I made each child in Leila's class an edible surfboard with his/her name on it! ❤️ I totally forgot to take photos of the cake like I usually do, but thank God for amazing Kinder moms who took photos and sent them to me. 😍 #sugarismsbymaica it was such a bittersweet celebration, I was crying through most of the program. At the end of the day it felt so special to hear Leila proudly tell her classmates and friends how I had made the cake especially for them. And that just touched me so much- after all, I started this cake adventure for her and because of her. 😍

This 6 year old is the only kid I know who LOOOVES Disneyland but doesn't enjoy the rides at all! Well, she did Autopia and the Nemo submarine but not even the carousel or dumbo or the teacup! 😒 but just being there and enjoying the royal theater and seeing all the princesses and the wonderful parades made her belated 6th birthday celebration a blast! ❤️it was made more special because it was Liv's first time and Leila's favorite auntie Bieni (my baby sister) joined us that day! #dearleila #dearolivia (at Disneyland)
My not so little girl's first time hiking with her Girl Scout family! It was such a blast, the girls were giggling and talking and laughing the whole 1.5 miles! And just like that, she's turning 6 in two days!!! Where in the world did time go?! we've been doing a countdown to her birthday this past week, and this morning she was like, "mom, it's my last day in school as a 5 year old!"
