Dear Master Cyrus,

Somehow, Candice has inspired the grunts to begin shipping Mars and I. No, that does not mean that they are attempting to stuff the two of us in boxes and send us cross-region, no, that would be far less humiliating. Instead, they have become rather insistent that Mars and I would be "a cute couple".

I promised myself before I came back to this world that I would not make the same mistake as last time and let revenge consume me whole. I think a vendetta against Candice may be somewhat justified, however.

Dear Master Cyrus,

Mars attempted to force feed me soup today.

"You have to eat," she insisted, not giving any heed to my protests that since being there, I need no such thing. An argument ensued, during which I was obliged to explain functional immortality to her - namely that I don't need to eat, won't get sick, and won't ever age again. When laid out like that, I imagine it sounds desirable. I did not bother to tell her about the dreams, and I did not let her touch me.

I did eventually try the soup. It was terrible.

Mars and Jupiter arrived at the League and convinced Cynthia to release me. Jupiter used some sort of legal gambit I am not familiar with - I am a scientist, after all, not a lawyer. All the same, I am free.

I will not hold out hope that this freedom will last long before the League sends someone to reclaim me. But for now, I am free.

Dear Master Cyrus,

I'm sure you are familiar with Candice, the gym leader of Snowpoint. It is with some regret I admit I am, as well.

She is rather fond of visiting the Champion - they are old friends, as I understand it. Unfortunately, this means she is often present at the League.

Perhaps you're not acquaintanced with the version of her that I am. To say this woman is "frustrating" would be to grossly understate the issue. She finds joy in causing discomfort to anyone who does not wish to discuss romantic matters. She is a self-proclaimed "shipper", a term which she explained to me at length, to my silent horror. I am determined not to give her the time of day, but still she insists on inflicting her presence and interaction on me.

If I have to listen to one more conversation about Candice's "feels" about Mars and I, I swear I will beg Cynthia to return me to the Distortion World.

Dear Master Cyrus, 

I have managed to convince the not-troll-Cynthia to allow me to help with filing and data entry in the League office. It's something to occupy the time, at least, brainless enough that I don't notice the passage of time quite so poignantly as before. It's nice for my hands to move again.

I've begun keeping track of the percentage with which certain Pokemon are used by League challengers. Math. I am so very fond of math.

I would say that it's boring here, but the passage of time doesn't particularly trouble me anymore. Nothing does, really, except the dreams.

I am so very tired.

I wake with no memory of them, but I can read the tweets that voice-mode overzealously posts on my behalf. I try not to read them. I would rather not know the horror that causes me to wake without any sense of restfulness. I expect that they will never go away. Giratina chose to release me to this world rather than keeping me in its world - your world, after all, isn't it? I do not blame it for punishing me so, I am merely grateful I don't remember.

While one Cynthia is at least a gracious host, the same cannot be said of another. The multiverse is a curious thing in particular when it creates instances of the same person so similar until you get them alone in a room.

The one in question likes to taunt me about going outside.

Dear Master Cyrus,

It seems Jupiter has given up on me. I am not entirely sure I blame her. It is far too much for me to hope that she would not. All the same, it was still disheartening to see her response to Mars' request for help in getting me out. I thought Jupiter was somewhat closer to our way of thinking. In a way, I suppose it turns out that she is. I am no longer of value to the organization, so why bother wasting her time and effort on getting me from the League's hands? I don't blame her. I would have made the same decision.

It's bitter to see someone else take on the mantle of leadership - the one that belonged to me. I wonder if you thought the same. Did you see what I did with the team when you were in the Distortion World? Would you have carried on as I did, in the same manner? Or did I put your teachings behind from the very beginning without even realizing? Did I go wrong at the start, or at the end?

It stings. I didn't want to admit it, but it stings.

It seems it's been years since I've written. I'm sure not as many years as I'd like to think. What does paradox space really matter, anyways? What does anything matter, after all?

I am still a prisoner of the League. I am honestly surprised they've allowed me to keep my Poketch, but it would seem counterproductive to question it at this point. I like the communication. As I cannot bury myself in work, this is the only distraction I have for most of the day. Cynthia is not a cruel jailkeeper, but she is rather a strict one. I can at least respect that quality in her.

A single night in the Distortion World went on for centuries in my head. It really is no wonder that you seemed so much older when you came back, far less than the three years we thought passed. I have had a great deal of time to think. Perhaps more time than I should be allowed. I promise I am not using it to envision further delusions of grandeur in the form of setting an emotion-wiping virus on the entirety of the human race.

Today I had the pleasure of giving Mars and Jupiter a taste of my hooves.

Yes, hooves, for thanks to a...misplaced experiment by that mad scientist you hired (as opposed to the mad scientist that you are), we have become ponies.
