you totally shouldn’t click on this link because it totally won’t take you to a google drive folder which totally doesn’t have a full copy of the 2016 production of Ride The Cyclone which definitely isn’t accessible to anyone with the link
Glamrock Freddy is not possessed by Michael Afton - a FNAF Theory
glamrock freddy is not possessed by michael afton - and that’s because i believe he is possessed by henry emily.
tldr; in my opinion, henry emily makes a lot more sense than michael afton to be possessing glamrock freddy from a satisfying narrative perspective. and, he has just as much chance as michael afton does based on the pre-established lore!
click below to read the theory!
so first off, to preface this, maybe this was a little clickbait-y. i am not normally a serious theorist... i’m no matpat ill tell you that😭 this is just a fun theory and despite being a fnaf fan who’s followed the lore since 2014, i don’t know everything and i can make mistakes. BUT i do really enjoy the idea of this theory and while i’m not saying it’s necessarily more likely in the lore than the theory of glamrock freddy being michael, i just think from a satisfying storytelling point of view it's what makes the most sense !!
also, i’m not the first one to bring up this theory, far from it, but i just wanted to spread it around as it makes the most sense thematically to me.
so to refresh your memory, henry emily was the co-founder of fazbear entertainment, alongside william afton.
he is the father of charlotte, who you may know as the soul possessing the marionette. (charlotte is also the protagonist of the silver eyes trilogy) but most importantly, henry is also the cassette man who instructs you, the player, in FNAF6.
at the end of the completionist ending in FNAF6, henry will give his iconic monologue to william, michael afton (his son and the player character) and the animatronics before burning the place down, killing everyone in the process.
he does this to release the souls trapped in the animatronics, and to kill afton. from a lore and narrative standpoint, this was the ideal conclusion to the storyline, and fnaf as a whole. after defeating afton, henry & michael were able to provide peace to the children's souls.
this is also why i have a problem with security breach's approach to the narrative, and the return of afton as the major antagonist, but that's a problem for another thread someday
anyway, this is important, because the FNAF6 location is the same pizzeria that’s directly below roxy’s raceway in Security Breach. for the story to give a narrative reason for ruining the closure of FNAF6, glamrock freddy should have the soul of either henry or michael to justify afton in this game. and thus, the popular theory that ‘glamrock freddy is michael afton’ was born as a brother theory (no pun intended) to the ‘gregory is crying child in some way/form’ one. but this is where this theory divulges from the michael one, because thematically that just doesn’t work for me.
from the beginning of the FNAF timeline, the motif for william afton was always springbonnie. the motif for henry was always fredbear. michael was always more associated with foxy instead, as seen in the FNAF4 mini games, and later on with the funtime animatronics in SL.
in my opinion, i believe that it is michael possessing the blob during the afton ending of SB, who in the end gets to deal the final blow and ‘defeat’ afton one final time.
another thing that indicates it’s henry possessing glamrock freddy that was pointed out by u/dismal-ad-7471 on reddit:
lastly, this isn’t backed up by anything, but in general the overall temperament and personality of glamrock freddy just aligns more with henry than michael to me, as he was a very loving father to his daughter before and doted on her, similarly to how GF does for gregory in SB.
lastly again just to reiterate, i’m not saying this is canon. but it just makes more sense to me than anything else!! also if anyone noticed anything else linking henry to glamrock freddy, or any mistakes i’ve made, pls let me know! xoxo

When he saw my portrait he was like… Jaa
But I didn’t look as good
As I did in my pic
Funny how we all discuss that
But never Henry’s little prick
That’s really not what this is about. But an adult trying to use Harry Potter as an icebreaker years after the series has lost public relevance outside of any context besides “JK Rowling is an asshole on Twitter again,” and/or “wow these books are kinda racist aren’t they,” without any sign that they’re talking to another Harry Potter fan, might mean that they should consider expanding their horizons. That they should, perhaps, read a different book.
Although that brings a specific scenario to mind, which… is probably more like what the Ebert quote was talking about.
This is more than just awkward. Like if this person said “Ah, well, nevermind” after being told their date hadn’t even seen the movies and changed the subject, yeah it would’ve been awkward, but would’ve been a respectful way to keep the conversation going. Plowing on through anyway with “I’m a Hufflepuff” kinda shows that, at best, this person really has nothing but Harry Potter in their deck. At worst they don’t really care about anything their date has to say and is going to stay in their fandom bubble, their “cubbyhole of pop culture,” using any excuse to shoehorn Harry Potter back into the conversation despite their date’s obvious lack of interest in the topic. It’s disrespectful, obnoxious, and ultimately boring.
