fnaf security breach is a deeply fascinating game to me. first of all, the story flies directly in the face of everything the previous games and even the promotional material to this game were building up to (most notably, with not doing anything interesting with vanny to instesd revive afton for the nth time). apparently, the devs added in those story details without input/supervision from lead writer of the series scott. and apparently, they did that because scott straight up didnt tell the dev team the story of the game they were making. on top of that, this is probably one of the buggiest games ever made period. there was a bug that skipped cutscenes if your dialogue volume is set to 0, and as many people pointed out, having the volume setting affect anything other than volume is a very impressive feat of gamedev. its gotten to the point that streamer backseat gaming, who was one of the first content creators to really showcase how broken the game is, now refers to any element in any game that has a lot of buggy interactions as a "freddy". all elements of this game reinforce the idea that developing it was a really fucked up process
