“I’m still working on the costume idea... but I did manage to get the furball to do a new trick if you wanted to see it?”

Admittedly, it did take quite a bit of coaxing to get her “weapon” to do something other than well... look like a weird fluffy dragony thing.

As for companions, there was another student that was staring at him from where she sort of hid behind the brunette. Strange girl really... long dark hair, ruby red eyes, and surprisingly beautiful for someone who really didn’t seem to like to get out much. 

Of course, explaining that her “tagalong” was actually Zero in human form was going to be a bit amusing.

“I know what you mean… using Kiera in combat does take a bit of practice… especially whenever she picks up something new along the way.” She did suppose that he also found Black Star to be a rather noisy meister, but she didn’t put that up as a proper topic… It seemed rude to do so.

“The double ended scythe she came up with was kind of fun too.”

“Hm, a double ended scythe,” Kid mused on that for a moment, it would be far more symmetrical than a normal scythe. And if he was to take over as the grim reaper one day he’d need to use an actual scythe time to time. There were some moves he could only do with a scythe.

“So how are you faring using this new ability?”

“Pretty much anything they want.” To that, she’d admit as she reached around and patted the dark haired girl’s head in an almost big sisterly fashion who took the meister’s antics surprisingly patiently. Probably because she was used to her teasing being a thing.

“I’m just helping them find a form that doesn’t make everyone feel awkward whenever they are in class with me.”

“That’s rather interesting and could be very useful on assignments.” Kid nodded gently at the statement. “How did you find out she could do that? Have you turned into anything particularly useful.”

“Well… Probably as early as finding out she could perfectly replicate any weapon I need on the fly… Although I didn’t really think of actually suggesting it until the whole… you know… the reason why I haven’t looked for a different partner?”

She knew that it was a well known thing that compatibility and… compatibility are two different things. Even if it doesn’t make sense.

“In any case, very useful.”

“It sort of reminds me of the ability of my friend Tsubaki. She can transform into any weapon down her family line. It’s several weapons and her partner is uniquely skilled to be able to properly use that many weapons.”

Open Auditions for VA Roles

To that, she sort of waited patiently for a few moments before well… finally giving away what she was wanting to show him.

“Turns out that Zero can take shapes other than weapons.” She pointed out, hefting up the patient ravenette again for emphasis.

Admittedly, the girl did seem weirdly patient with how she was being lifted up and down like an excited child showing off their favorite pet cat.

“Okay.” Kid kept his usual natural expression. It wasn’t all that surprising to him, after all witches could turn into animals. He met the immortal werewolf who could turn into a wolf, and most of his friends could turn into one thing or another. 

“So, she can turn into what else?”

“I still don’t know what I am going to do for a costume. Liz and Patty have several suggestions but we can’t settle on one we all agree. It has caused more than a few argument between the sisters.”

“Hm, I suppose so if you don’t mind showing me this trick.”

“Um… give me a second…” To that, the brunette would turn around, pick up the dark haired girl she was with and practically present her to Kid like the monkey guy in the Lion King movie.

“So… does anything about her seem familiar?”

“…” No words, just staring right back at him while being held in her arms like a bag of potatoes.

Kid stared for a moment, he didn’t notice the Lion King nod, he missed the start of it and had only seen a few scenes in his teens. 

“No, not really,” Kid wondered if he should have used his soul perception. But he knew enough not to ruin a trick and let them reveal what they were going to reveal.

Might as well ask... since he pretty much grew up around here.

"Well, the city is composed up of a lot of cultures so there is a little of everything. There are various celebration and trick or treating. Honoring the dead. There is usually a fighting tournament."

death the kid is such a… weird character. i cant think of another character like him because he’s so weird. like, he’s the son of the grim reaper with horrible ocd and perfectionism issues and also he dresses like a preppy goth in full tuxedo but he also rides a skateboard named beelzebub and does cool tricks on it whenever presented the opportunity also he has guns. none of those character traits sound like they belong to the same person. hes somehow both the coolest and lamest character in the show.
