HITOSHI ISN'T AFRAID OF BATMAN , though perhaps he should be . he knows more about batman than he should : has studied his weapons , his methods , his patrol schedule . he knows how many robins there have been ———— give or take a few ———— and that batman's only known weakness is his own pride . he knows that batman has beaten superman in combat , and that there have been at least two other batmen other than the first to date , though the one present in gotham at this time appears to be the original . and hitoshi knows that batman , more than any other masked hero , is incredibly territorial about who he allows to operate in ' his ' city .

❝ can. ❞ her immediate response is short, curt. she really, really thought that finding the noisiest part of the gull and lantern would give her a space to sit and think. the inquisition is doing good work, it’s ( at the very least ) restoring the status quo, allowing her to get back to doing what she wants. she just wasn’t expecting the inquisition to be run by an elven mage, of all people. and that, even, was manageable. and then he started learning necromancy. that’s just… unnatural. creepy. she pulls a face at him. ❝ are you gonna use your magicky bullshite on me ? stupid. ❞ and there it is. she hasn’t been friends with him before now, necessarily, but up until this point she’s been able to work with him, at the very least. up until now she’s not been AFRAID.

HE UNDERSTANDS HER FEAR : while necromancy is hardly any more dangerous than most other types of magic , he knows how it must look from the outside . controlling corpses , siphoning energy from the dead ———— he can't blame her for being afraid . and he wants people to be afraid , but not HER . she's argumentative , stubborn , and sometimes outright rude , but he likes her . and maybe it's because she's one of the only people in the inquisition who's motivations aren't suspect , or maybe it's because she reminds him of someone else , someone he misses ( even if he would never admit it ) , but the thought of sera disliking him bothers him far more than he would have expected .

hitoshi is either incredibly delightful or incredibly irritating to go out to eat with , depending on your viewpoint , because he will absolutely spend every moment of the meal critiquing and analyzing the food , because he is incapable of just enjoying things . he doesn’t care if food is expensive or cheap , as long as it’s good , and has a healthy appreciation for all cuisines and cultures . he is typically NOT a fan of chain restaurants , however , and will almost always choose a local food truck over fast food . also , if you really want to get in hitoshi’s good graces ( or impress him , if you’re on a date with him ! ) one of the best things you can do is to take him out to a restaurant he’s never been to before . even if he doesn’t like the food , he’ll appreciate the experience .

hitoshi’s favorite recreational activity is watching cooking shows , particularly anything with gordon ramsay , but his favorite cooking show is cutthroat kitchen . on lazy days , you can often find him curled up on his sofa with a cup of coffee and one of his favorite cooking shows .
