hi hello i kinda miss posting on this blog, thinking of starting again 🤔

My best friend @tayloraswift and I just joined this #CornettoShakeItOff live dance battle to win us a chance to meet @taylorswift herself, and a couple days ago, we danced in front of a huge crowd to Shake It Off, something I really wouldn’t have done if I didn’t really want this.

We’ve dreamt of this for almost half our lives, since we were 9 and jammed to Teardrops On My Guitar and when we were 11 and did covers of Fifteen with one of our other friends by a staircase in primary school. This opportunity doesn’t come easily, especially not in Singapore.

We’re currently in the running to become finalists in this contest, and this stage is 100% based on public voting, which is why we need as much help as we can to spread the word.

Hi, I know I haven’t been posting at all lately (the last being that Shidgit post in April) but I just wanted to say something really really important.

A lot of you have been worried about Shidgit/their status/what’s happening with them, and that includes me (as you may or may not know, I have shipped this ship before they even started dating, god knows how worried I am about them right now)

BUT I think what we should all do right now, while we have no idea what’s going on, is respect their space and respect their privacy. I noticed that in every picture they post on Instagram or every tweet of theirs, there are some of you hounding them with questions about whether or not they’re still together. I was one of those people too, but I realised it does none of us any good to keep spamming them with questions about something that might be hurting them all this time.

I know how you feel. I want to know what happened as much as you do. (because lbr, we all know something did happen at this point) but I feel like we should back off the topic for a little while, and focus on supporting them and their careers for now. Back off their personal lives. They will tell us what’s going on when they are ready to tell us. (or they might even post a shidgit pic to reassure us everything’s still fine and dandy, who knows?)

So yes. Let them have their space. Bridgit and Shane weren’t very public with their personal lives in the first place; don’t make them even more reluctant to share things with us anymore.

Focus on things like the current projects they’re working on:

Shane has directed a movie, An Apprentice, starring his brother Sullivan, which you can find out more about on Instagram, Facebook, or on the official site.

Bridgit recently announced her team-up with sunglasses company Dicks Cottons. She’s coming up with her own line of sunglasses, which you can check out here.
