Immersive 360° video lets viewers choose which characters to follow
The in-built accelerometers in tablets and smartphones offer increasingly unusual ways for users to interact with multimedia content. We recently wrote aboutĀ Device6, a playable novel that relies on manipulation of the iPad to give a sense of space. Now a project from Switzerland calledĀ IDNA ā Spatial StorytellingĀ has produced a 360-degree video narrative for handheld devices that reveals different elements of the story depending on the way viewers choose to angle their tablet. Really important point by Stowe Boyd! Hamel et al are underestimating the depth and the fundamental nature of the current transformation of the society. When changing the way people are communicating with each other, from a one-to-many to a many-to-many structure, everything is going to change. We must understand that we are on our way to rewire humanity as a whole, which means fundamental changes in e g how we organize and create value. To take the stand in one of the groups that have grown up from the historic way of organizing things, like the management category, is futile and will not provide a standpoint from which the current development can be understood.

Hashtag popularity and social network strength.
Twitter analysis shows that hashtags with well-connected or highly disconnected early adopters are more likely to become popular than those in between. If early adopters of the hashtag are disconnected, the hashtag is likely related to a celebrity or popular topic outside of Twitter.

Real-time data for mobile devices moves to expanded IBM SmartCloud
IBM announced that Flow, Inc., will stream its real-time data analytics to SoftLayer, newly acquired by IBM.
Flow, a New York City-based company with Fortune 500 partnerships, transforms the way companies process, publish and consume real-time information. It streams all types of data specifically designed to be accessed and viewed from mobile devices.
This streamed, integrated real-time data will enable clients to send and receive data from any mobile device that is integrated with enterprise data, thereby enabling the collaboration essential to a Social Business.
IBM clients will gain the ability to intelligently connect, process and route real-time data to and from any number of enterprise applications, analytics and mobile services. Real-time information dashboards and mobile apps can be deployed in minutes without any IT support.

Do people read what they tweet? Donāt assume they have looked any further than the headline and lead . A study correlated how far people scrolled through an article with the number of tweets from the article. The relationship proved to be fairly weak.

There are huge implications here for the classroom. Iām shocked at the āfake reading" and the correlation to tweeting. So, most people are reading less than 60% and then ābouncing." I want to see how this impacts analog reading.
Cheers.
What children probably need to hear most from us adults is that they can talk with us about anything, and that we will do all that we can to keep them safe in any scary time.
