fun fact: you meet ryder, fiona, and jordan in season 2, and they are there for the rest of the series.

I needed more characters in the story but didn't want to add characters that I

1 didn't have a purpose for

2 had some sort of character to them.

I couldn't think of anything and opted to add those three. them being in the story doesn't conflict with otr due to the fact that decampment takes place after otr, and otr is heavily dimension-hopping based. adding them felt more natural so I kept them.
