Declan: You remember one time, I liked you?
Nash: No?
Declan: Good cause it never happened!
river-white:
“Guess I can think of worse ways.” River shrugged. Example number uno - dying on a fucking island with your body mangled by an unknown monster and strung up like a sock puppet up on some damn tree. That sounded like a real awful way to go. River pushed his hands through his locks and promised he wouldn’t think of that for the rest of the day.
Declan’s awkwardness didn’t make him any less suspicions. When had he seen the guy do just about anything awkward - Declan King practically spelled boldand pushing boundaries, considering the guy had some snarky comment always at the ready. Still, River was willing to suspect that when all the bets were off the guy was just this - tired, awkward, and a fucking godsend River decided the moment his eyes landed on the whiskey.
“Jesus fuck, Declan. I could kiss you right now.” River half moaned and took the bottle staring at it for a long while when Declan sat next to him. River looked at the other man with a pinched sort of expression. “Please lie to me and tell me you didn’t do something that would make me feel guilty for this.” He pushed his shoulder into Declan’s stating frankly: “Thank you. You wanna pop it open?”
Declan held up his hands to keep distance between him and the blonde. He knew it was a joke and he wanted to play along. “Slow down there, hot stuff. You don’t know where this mouth has been.” He followed it up with a huge grin -- something genuine. It felt almost foreign. He had forgotten what it was like to smile. At least really smile.
“I won’t lie to you, it wasn’t easy. Actually, it was easy. Men are too easy. It was just hard to find whiskey. I don’t know why you’re difficult ass has to be so specific. Vodka? No god damn problem. I had to really spread my ass cheeks for the whiskey.” He couldn’t help himself. He wanted to make River squirm. It was good to let the mostly serious man think it over.
Reaching out a hand, he ruffled his long blonde hair before punching his shoulder. “Don’t make it weird, man. You deserve this. You’ve been helping people on this island and you saved my life.” Nodding towards the bottle, he sighed softly. “You do the honors. Let’s get drunk.”
wririver-white:
River stared at the shore like he could evaporate water on sight. The rock doing something awful to his back that he would end up regretting later tonight but for now he was too busy lost in his own thoughts to mind that.
Too much was going on, and River could make sense of very little of it. He was never the believing kind - his mother had her…spirituality, on a good day he was willing to ignore her, but even so, they’ve gotten in enough arguments over it. It was a little hard for him to wrap his mind around the idea of mystery monsters that left behind blood messages. Then again the possibility that they weren’t alone here was not so much of a possibility anymore but hard fucking fact and River assumed it was people - it had to be. It fucking had to be.
Declan’s voice brought him out of the dark route of his thoughts.
“Hm?” River muttered before he gave Declan a once over, instinctively smiling at the huge grin that the other was sporting. “I swear Declan if you whip out a dildo from behind your back I will beat you to death with it.”
A smile. That was a good start. River wasn’t going to elbow him in the face... again. At least not yet anyway. It was early in the day and anything could happen. But the smile was a good start. Something that made Declan’s heart warm. The blonde should smile more often. It suited him.
He snorted as he tried to contain his laughter. A quick shake of his followed as he tried to compose himself. “Look, that’s how I want to go when the time comes -- beaten to death by a dildo, but today’s not that day.” Not wanting to play out the dramatics anymore, he produced the bottle of whiskey. It was enough for the two of them to share. And then some if they weren’t stranded on a mysterious island.
He shuffled in his place and cleared his throat suddenly feeling awkward. “You said you missed whiskey. I figured this is the least I could do. Don’t beat me with the bottle or anything. I still got some life to live.” He plopped down next to River and held out the bottle.
@river-white
It had taken some time to find whiskey. Of course River had to be specific in the type of alcohol he wanted. Declan had scored the beach -- weird things seemed to wash up on shore all the time. But no, it had been some blonde bimbo on the island who had the secret whiskey stash. It wasn’t hard to seduce the man. He was all to eager to stick his dick in any of Declan’s warm holes. He preferred when they were eager -- it meant a quick turn around. Keeping a gay celibate for a week did no favors for their stamina. Probably a gross overestimation, but not wrong when it came to Gordon or Gary.
With whiskey in hand, Declan scoured the island for River. It was the least he could do for the man who saved his life. He wasn’t worth saving, but somehow the blonde believed he was. And Declan wasn’t about to be ungrateful, not for his life or to the medic.
Readjusting his sunglasses, he scoured the beach. Maybe the big oaf had wandered into the jungle to relieve himself or cry. Maybe a combination of both. About to give up and try again later, Declan spotted River lounging against a large rock. Hiding the bottle behind his back, he slinked towards the man.
“Hey, big guy. I got a surprise for you.” He flashed his best smile as he finished closing the distance between them.

castawaynash:
Nash didn’t handle stress well. Especially when he didn’t have a bottle of liquor to chase the nerves that often had his hands shaking. Nash wasn’t brave. He was careless, a self-involved fool who always let others pick up the pieces of his mistakes. He didn’t know how to look the face of his troubles in the eye and make sense of it.
But, when he’d watched Declan stumble into the jungle – in, to where that thing was, he had to do something. Otherwise, Declan was going to end up just like Ryan and Erik. Chewed up and spit out, a bloody mess, a message for the rest of the survivors whatever it wasn’t finished. That set his heart into a panicked rhythm, adrenaline flooding his veins.
Fear. Nash nearly choked on the intensity of it.
And then Declan was standing in front of him, annoyed and drunk, but okay. Nash’s whole body was tense, the usual devil-may-care playboy facade he wore so well gone, forgotten and shoved into the shallows, where it belonged.
The relief was immediate. Then came the anger – an emotion that was foreign to Nash. He didn’t know how to process it, not alongside the fear and the relief.
Shit. What was it about Declan King that made him so emotional?
“What the fuck am I doing here?” he echoed, his voice sounding strange, even to himself. “Do you even know where you are?” The question was a challenge, the anger winning out against the relief, the fear. He lifted a hand to run through his hair, irritated at himself, at Declan. Pissed that he’d followed the other into the jungle, the immediacy of the danger they were in beating like a second heart inside of him. “You’re drunk.” He said it like it disgusted him, like he had any right.
Nash Calloway, shaming someone for finding solace in alcohol? What was this island turning him into? Or maybe it was just Declan. Everything seemed to keep coming back to him.
“No,” he said tightly. “I can’t.” And then he was reaching forward, grabbing Declan roughly by the arm, too wound up to give a shit if he hurt Declan. He could yell at him, kick him the balls, throw fucking coconuts at him for all he cared, but only once they were safe on the beach. So help him, Nash would throw this drunk idiot over his shoulder and haul hiss ass there if he had to.
‘We’re going back to the beach,” he said, with some force. “Right now, Declan. Don’t make things difficult for once.” And then, god, Nash felt so weak, his gaze betraying in that moment with how scared he was, how vulnerable and unworthy he felt. “Please,” he added, like that would somehow persuade Declan not to be difficult.
Declan wasn’t sure what he expected. Nash had become like his unbearable, alcoholic shadow. No matter where he went, the man turned up. Even the jungle. He sighed loudly, maybe a little too dramatically, but the whiskey swirling in his stomach made him not care.
Except...
Nash was angry. He wasn’t sure he’d ever seen him anything other than petulant. It was new and the twist in his gut tightened again. It was almost like the other man cared about him. The thought made his stomach roll. He was going to be sick if he thought about it anymore. Nash probably found out he’d allowed the redheaded kid face fuck him, while all Declan did was abuse him. That had to be it.
As always, the dirty blonde was astute. He gripped the branch harder so he wouldn’t fall. “Yeah, I’m drunk. Jealous?” The words came out less catty than he intended. His voice soft and teasing -- almost sultry. What the fuck was happening? He was off his game. Maybe River had done something to the whiskey -- watered it down or put antibiotics in it. That’s something field medics did, he was fairly certain.
Then Nash was grabbing him hard -- hard enough to leave bruises. The thought sent a thrill through Declan, but he quickly sobered. At least enough to yank his arm away. “How many fucking times do I gotta tell you to not touch me? What is your obsession with me? I don’t wanna suck your cock, Trash. I don’t want you to get near me. I know what I’m doing it. Get it through your thick skull.”
The inclination to flee came up strong. It seemed to surface quickly whenever Nash was around. Declan didn’t want to deal with how he felt, mostly because he felt nothing. Or it was easier to believe that. Because the other option made his chest tight with something foreign -- something fucking dangerous.
So without thinking, Declan let go of the branch and took off into the jungle -- deeper than he had ever ventured before. It felt good to have the air whipping past his face, away from Nash and whatever the fuck feeling had settled in between his ribs.
itsyourboyhunter:
Hunter quickly looked around nervously before bringing up a hand to cover Declan’s mouth “Mate can you please not broadcast about me asking for a fucking handjob slash blowjob” Hunter explained still reeling from how open someone had blatantly offered him a mouth or hand, not that Hunter was ever to turn down an offer like that he just didn’t want the other’s around camp thinking he was that easy to proposition.
“My name’s Hunter by the way… and sorry for like gagging you then” Hunter apologised as he dropped his hands to his side then leaning in to whisper into Declan’s ear “Look maybe if we find somewhere private I’d be fine for a handjob” he smiled slightly hoping to ease the tension as he started to walk off being rush back over to him “Wait wait wait, do you want one back too?” Hunter almost screamed as his mind went racing with thoughts on how he would probably just as much enjoy giving one to Declan just as much as receiving one from him.
“Who the fuck cares?” He batted the man’s hand away from his mouth. “You were on a gay cruise. No one here is gonna care if you want me to blow you.” He looked around anyway, mostly for show. He was fairly certain no one was watching or following them. But then again, Declan didn’t really care. He humored Hunter anyway.
“You told me already, man. You alright? Did your dick take all the blood away from you brain?” His tone was light and teasing, but the track and field star was slightly manic. With a roll of his eyes, he grabbed the man by his wrist and drug him a little deeper into the jungle. It was still a safe space, but prying eyes would have to travel into the brush to find them. “I’ll never say no to helping hand. But I won’t force you either way. I can jerk myself.” He shrugged as his hands went to the front of Hunter’s pants rubbing against his erection. “Good dream?”
chord-white:
❝I don’t know dude, just like, a bad dick. Surely you’ve been with a guy and just thought, well no thank you?❞ Chord asked amused as he watched Declan with intent. A phone sex operator? He’d never known one, and honestly, he was intrigued. He wasn’t picky himself - he was all for spreading love with any and everyone - but even he had his limits. He was curious if Mr. Survival did after that comment. ❝I’m with you one-hundred percent, dude. And I think River would be, too. He just…he wants a lot for me, y’know? I think part of him still thinks I could go to med school or something.❞ The thought made him laugh again as he leaned closer to Declan, inhaling his second hand smoke just to help him reach that high. He then reached over and took it from Declan after gesturing to make sure it was okay, and sucked in deep. Holding in the smoke, he waited until the comment about River being an asshole to let loose, smoke billowing out all at once. Yeah - this was the right thing to do to forget.
❝Sounds like River. You didn’t thank him with that talented mouth of yours, did you? I came on the cruise to get him laid, and God damn it if I’m gonna die on this island I’m at least gonna reach that goal.❞ Chord declared confidently, running a hand through his hair before leaning back with his hands behind him to prop himself up. He stretched out his legs, his feet looking particularly amusing with the way they seemed to stretch and bend. Or maybe he had hit the bong a bit too hard, which his increasingly blurred vision was telling him.
“Not really. If someone is small or their dick is imperfect, they can have other talents. Plus, everything once. You never know if someone has a great mouth or something. And if we get far enough that I’m seeing his dick, then I’m not gonna back down.” He spoke as if it was common sense and for Declan, it was. He wasn’t one to stop unless he was completely uncomfortable. Mainly anything involved Nash Calloway. But that wasn’t something he was about to bring up. Not as he was just getting high. “You’re his kid brother. I get it. I wanted a lot for my sisters too. But they were both in respectable jobs. I’m the one that’s out there. But they love me no matter what. I’m sure River feels the same.” Declan could only imagine. He knew River enough to knew the man had a big heart. Sure, he tried to hide it behind his gruff exterior, but Declan knew better.
Laughter bubbled out of his chest as he shook his head. “Nah, haven’t had the pleasure of fucking a White yet.” He lifted his glasses and rubbed at the bridge of his nose. Once relieved, he let them drop again. “We have a lot of weird shit going on, but I’m sure he’ll get laid. I don’t mind taking one for the team. He probably has a lot of pent up aggression.” He turned his head to look at Chord. “What about you? I don’t have a sibling here, but doesn’t mean you haven’t fucked anyone.”

castawaynash:
Nash was … a little worse for wear.
Rescue was coming for them. That was the lie he told himself as he laid in the dirt, hungry, dirty, and feeling vaguely like he’d been bitten up by sand fleas. But, as the days dragged on, Ryan and Erik being killed, the message in the sand – even the cold comfort of another person’s body held no appeal to him. He couldn’t fuck this fear away. And, he’d tried.
No, Nash felt tired. Drained. Like who he was had been a farce up until this point. Who was he? ‘Cause on this island he wasn’t the rich pretty boy who smiled and warm bodies fell into his lap. He was just Nash. Useless. Hated. An annoyance.
Maybe Declan was right about him.
That annoyed him the most. Nash sighed, got to his feet, and headed towards the beach. He wanted to be alone. Where he could think. Maybe use his brain for once in his life.
He’d just reached the shoreline when he saw a figure stumbling towards the treeline. He glanced at them, without much interest, until he saw who it was: Declan. He almost opened his mouth, almost asked, “Hey, princess, where you headed?” But those words died a sour death on his tongue. His heart wasn’t in it. Not right now. He didn’t want to see the hate in Declan’s eyes, didn’t want to feel the tightening in his chest.
But then, Declan disappeared into the tree line. Nash stared after him for several seconds before he was moving without actual thought. It was nearing dusk – what was Declan doing? Did he have a death wish?
Cold dread clawed at his heart. He pushed past the brush, almost frantic in his movements. “Declan!” he hissed into the underbrush, heart pounding out of his chest.
Where was he?
@declanking
The little bit of whiskey left after his afternoon with River was about to be consumed. The big oaf had passed out somewhere along the beach -- Declan going as far as tucking him in under his rainbow flag. It was the least he could do. River had saved his life, something he wasn’t soon to forget. The whiskey -- something the blonde said he missed -- was fairly easy to get. Even easier to consume.
Downing the rest of the bottle, Declan laughed to himself. His legs were wobbly. He should have turned in beside River -- an excellent heat source and pillow. But he wasn’t tired. He was drunk and happy. Or the illusion of happiness. It didn’t matter much to him. He had spent the almost two weeks on the island worrying and angry. The whiskey made him pliant and allowed him to have hope -- something that would die in the morning. Hope was fleeting, just like his happiness.
The vacation had been fucking stupid. He knew that now. All his ma’s worrying had been justified. He almost didn’t want to be rescued so he didn’t have to hear her ‘I told you so’s’. His chest ached at the thought of his ma. Sunday dinners with all the kids. Angrily, he chucked the bottle into the sea -- it pathetically landed at the shore line, the water mockingly bathing it.
The sandy beach was proving hard to navigate. His calves straining to keep him upright. Glancing into the jungle, he made his decision. It wouldn’t do to linger on decisions. He went with his gut. He felt brave now -- braver than he felt during the fire, or Ryan and Erik, or the bloody writing. He was going to go into the jungle and yell into the growing darkness. It would make him feel better. Maybe he could bring that fleeting happiness back.
He stomped into the underbrush. Each time his foot came down, he felt a sick satisfaction that he was fighting back against the horrors that the jungle held. He kicked at a tree trunk, unable to feel anything because of his boots and the alcohol. “Take that you stupid fuck!” It felt good to yell without people staring.
The rustling behind him caused him to twirl on one foot. He almost lost his balance, but managed to keep upright. He blinked a few times to bring the world back into focus. Then he appeared out of nowhere like a harbinger of death -- Nash Calloway.
The tightness in his chest returned stronger than before. What was he doing following him? Maybe he wanted to take advantage of Declan again. No one could hear him scream this far into the jungle. His heart began to hammer against his ribs. The butterflies came up again -- the man looked worried, pained almost. The twist in his gut followed. This wasn’t happening. Why did Nash want to take away his happiness?
“What the fuck are you doing here? I thought I made myself clear.” He grabbed onto the nearest branch and held on for dear life. “Can’t you just leave me alone, Trash.” His stomach lurched. Probably the whiskey.
holdenhartless:
Holden took another drag of his cigarette, frowning as he exhaled, the taste of mint really something awful. But, the steady thrum of nicotine, of smoke in his lungs, had it’s appeals. He kind of understood the draw of smoking, even if he wasn’t planning on making a habit out of it. Eventually, they’d run out of cigarettes. He almost felt sorry for Declan and the withdrawal that would give him the shakes. “Yeah, I got plans,” he admitted. Primarily, put his safety, his survival first. “Why, you wanna know ‘em?”
He laughed, the sound a little breathless. “You sure do got an active imagination, King. What’s next, Nash gonna grow a pair of elven ears and welcome you to spend eternity with him?” Yeah, it was likely poor form to bring up Nash around Declan, but Holden was bored and the ferocious way in which Declan hated Nash was so damn amusing.
Holden gave a shrug. “Let them fight over stupid shit. Maybe they’ll tire themselves out.” Fat chance, that. The morons could likely find anything to fight over. He gave them a week before someone turned into a murderer. Hell, he glanced at Declan. Maybe it’d be Declan, Nash the first victim of the island. That thought made him chuckle.
“Not particularly. You’ll probably have to kill me or something and I was hoping to save that for the monster in the jungle. It seems more appropriate.” Another long drag, the end of his cigarette burning a bright orange. It was the familiarity of it all. If he closed his eyes, he could pretend he was on a beach in Fiji or something and not in dirty, torn clothes talking to someone who may or may not even consider him a friend.
At the mention of Nash, his head jerk violently. All Declan wanted to do was enjoy his cigarette and his bug eyed fuck of a friend brought up Trash Calloway. His gaze darkened as he glared at Holden. “Fuck you. Don’t bring up that piece of shit around me. He probably had kiddie porn on his laptop. I don’t associate with his kind.”
Ashing his cigarette, he turned away from Holden. The entire experience now ruined for him. All he had wanted was a nap and when that didn’t work out, he managed to get a pack of cigarettes. Maybe this was hell. He was being punished for something. “Yeah, sure.” No longer feeling playful, he stomped out his cigarette butt. “Pleasure doing business, Gollum.”
chord-white:
It wasn’t until the coco-bonghad left his hands and the remnants of the smoke drifted from his mouth did thestart of a high begin to hit. On reflection, the coco-bong was actually arevolutionary idea - it was like having coconut flavoured vape with the addedbenefits of getting high. Chord blinked heavily several times and laughed againfor no reason other than the sudden awareness of the drug beginning to takeeffect.
❝My bad. So like, does that gofor all dicks, or just good ones?Like, would you suck an average dick for stuff? A bad one?❞ Chord mused, taking back thecoconut and taking another hit, this time mirroring Declan; inhaling longer, holding the smoke in longer, and breathing it out in a faster, shorter stream. He almost coughed this time around - he could definitely feel it this time. Thethought of Erik and Ryan disappeared along with the smoke, slowly dissipatinginto the humidity, and he too lay down besides Declan. ❝Hey, it’s a valid and respectable career choice. Don’t tell River, but Ialmost did it myself. Is that what you did before, or d’you learn to suck good dick in your own time?❞ he asked dreamily. It feltweird to say that: before. Was that what their life hadbecome already?
“What’s a bad dick? Like diseased? I wouldn’t suck off someone who has the clap or anything. But I’m also not looking to be a carrier. Look, I’ll suck any dick. I’m not a prude. Sex is fun and healthy. If I need something, I’ll do what I have to do to get it. It’s called survival.” He shrugged as he settled more securely on the sand. A soft sigh fell past his lips. “Some people learn how to hunt and fish, I have my own methods.”
Picking up the bong again, he took another rip. He was close now, the high blurring the edges of his vision. It would be better now. The images definitely fading away. They’d come back sooner or later, but he could push that off for now. “No, phone sex operator. I’ve heard some shit. Figured I’m good with my mouth, might as well put it to use.” Propping himself up on an elbow, he lifted his glasses to look over at Chord. “I won’t tell River. But there’s nothing wrong with sex work. Anyone who looks down on it is an asshole. I mean, River is an asshole, but probably not because of that. He saved my life anyway.”
chord-white:
@declanking·
Thankfully, Chord was one of the islanders who only caught a glimpse of Erik and Ryan - well, what was left of them - as they were being dragged away for ‘disposal’. River did his best to shield him, but Chord’s curiosity, unfortunately in this case, got the better of him. The macabre sight of their corpses, men he considered friends, was enough to drive even the mellow Chord into a brief state of shock. River, being River, had to take some sort of action. Everyone else was just as if not more disturbed by the sight, which left Chord one very viable option to take his mind off of the nightmare: Declan.
The two weren’t especially close, but they had hung out. Albeit with other people, but enough to know that he could rely on him. Chord had managed to lure Declan away with the promise of a some of his treasured weed (a valuable commodity on the island). The two having found a secluded area in which they could exchange their resources, they sat themselves down and under Declan’s tutelage, fashioned a makeshift bong out of a coconut.
❝Wait, wait, wait. You actually blew someone so you could get a cigarette?❞ Chord asked laughing, smoke billowing out alongside it after taking the first hit. It wasn’t as strong as he had hoped, probably diluted by the sea water? But it was a distraction. He passed the coco-bong over to Declan, hands still shaking from his laughter even though, really, it wasn’t that funny. ❝I admire your dedication dude. Your rep is gonna get you so much dick and people will actually give you stuff for it. You’re like, the island hooker now.❞
The bodies in the tree still hung behind his eyes. Every time Declan blinked, he swore he could still see them. The sight turned his stomach and he wasn’t proud to admit he had trekked down the beach to empty the contents of his stomach. The taste of bile still lingering in his mouth when Chord found him and drug him to their own secluded spot. It was good to be away from the rest of the island -- not too far away, but enough.
The promise of weed was enough for Declan. Although his last encounter with the stuff left him face fucked and his asshole sore. Not that he could even imagine his dick getting hard after the scene outside the jungle. Maybe dead bodies was all it took to break him. But spending his afternoon with a White brother was a good enough prospect. He was sure River was out somewhere being heroic or jerking off over Holden. Declan didn’t judge.
A coconut bong had been easy enough with the right tools. It even made the smoke taste good. Taking it from Chord, he took a long hit, unashamed. “It wasn’t one cigarette. I negotiated for the whole back, but yeah. Why not? I suck good dick and people are willing to give me shit for it.” He took another hit, this time holding the smoke longer than he had before. It burned, but the THC blossomed in his bloodstream.
“World’s oldest profession. I’m not ashamed. Come to me the next time you need something. I’ll show you how easy it is.” He held out the coconut and leaned back against the sand. The images of Erik and Ryan were slowly fading. Good.
omg why didn't a celebrant wash up with on the island, we'd get you two married
“Who you talking about, Air Bud? Don’t make me kick your ass.”
