I certainly don’t, nor will I ever want to. Do you?
No, I don't really have the desire to either. I hear it's a lot of math, that's entirely too boring for me.
If I could break the laws of physics, I’d have to know about physics. I ain’t here for that.
Does anyone really know about physics?
Light versus dark
Declan’s teeth cut into his lip, something he had grown accustomed to doing when his anxiety became overwhelming. The sensitive flesh was beginning to be painful and a coppery taste distracted from the anxious thoughts bouncing around the young man’s head. Holding his hands in-front of his face, he attempted to see them through the thick darkness. Declan didn’t know how he had gotten lost in the maze behind the school. He was taking a walk, something he usually did at night when most students were spending time with their friends before they went to bed. He was sure that he had memorized every turn and dead end of the maze in the short time that he had attended Walt Disney Academy, but this assumption was obviously wrong.
The feeling of a sheer curtain covering his eyes clouded Declan’s vision, he knew what, or who, was about to happen and attempted to fight him off. Blaise’s voice quietly crept out of the furthest corner of Declan’s mind. It was almost a whisper at first, but he was aware of him materializing. “No, I don’t want you here. Get away. Go away.” Declan said in a weak voice. The sound crept nearer in his head, like fog drawing close through thin night air. “You need me, just give up. Take a break, let me control things for a while.” The smooth voice cooed, Declan attempted to put up a fight, something that if he was honest with himself, he knew was futile. The fog in his head drew even closer, the curtain over his eyes darkening until he could no longer see.
Blaise chuckled to himself, finding the weakness of the other boy comical. He was spineless, completely letting his fear and insecurity overwhelm him until he was virtually immobile. Anger and aggression coursed through his veins, two feelings that propelled Blaise. They made him who he was, they were what separated him from the other side of himself. He gritted his teeth, extending his arm into the bush blocking his path. Crimson beads sprung from the newly scratched skin and Blaise shrugged, feeling absolutely no pain. He continued to force a path for himself through the rose bushes, feeling no remorse for the destruction left in his wake.
Blinding light startled Declan awake, unsure of where he was. Through squinted eyes he surveyed his surroundings, somehow he had made it back to his apartment, completely unaware of last night’s events. He wasn’t surprised at the fact that he couldn’t remember anything, blacking out happened frequently when Blaise decided to surface. A burning feeling overwhelmed his arms, looking at the aggravated skin he let his head fall back onto the down pillows. Hopelessness encompassed him, knowing there was nothing he’d ever be able to do.

Bailey sagged in relief once more, her eyebrows still knitted together though. “You’re sure? I’m always here to help.” She reminded him. She beamed at his words. “I’ve missed you too! Things have been… Okay.” She shrugged, not really sure on what word to settle for. “I forgot how easy it is to talk to you.” Bailey admitted with a half laugh.
Declan smiled, "I'm sure." He suddenly began feeling strange, the feeling he got when Blaise was coming. Panic rose in his chest, "I-I have to- I have to go." He said, backing away quickly.
Cassidy jumped a little and looked at Declan a moment. "It’s just me, it’s Cassidy. Sorry I scared you. Are you— All right?" She walked towards him slowly, not knowing if that was what she was supposed to do.
"O-Oh hi, I'm fine. I was just thinking, I like to think out here. " He said, looking down at his feet.
Woah- don’t worry, it’s just me. [she approached him slowly] Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. I just saw this hat on the trail leading back here and I’m trying to figure out who it belongs to. [she shows it to him] Is it yours?
"Oh, hi." He said softly. "No, it's not mine. I don't really wear hats very often."
[Izzy walked around aimlessly, her hands tucked in her hoodie as she stared down at the ground, lost in thought. She hadn’t realized where she had wandered off to until she felt her arm brush against a sharp twig and someone’s voice. She looked around, following the voice, as she stood in front of the boy] Me? [A confused expression crossed her face as she gave him a small wave]
Declan looked up at the unfamiliar girl standing in front of him and he slowly waved back at her. "Sorry, I didn't think anyone would be out at this time."
"Yeah.." She nodded and looked at the dark sky for a moment. "It is nice when it’s dark."
"It's quiet, that's what I like about it."
:
Bailey buried her face in his chest, smiling, relieved as she hugged him tightly. She looked up, meeting his eyes, worry crossing over again as she drew back slightly, still smiling however. “Weird? Are you okay? Is there anything i can do?”
Declan gave her a reassuring smile, "Everything is fine, I have it all under control." He began reaching for her hand then drew back, "I've missed you, how has everything been?"
She simply chuckled a bit, avoiding the question, and lit her cigarette. “What’re you doing outside this late?”
Declan watched as she smoked the cigarette, "I'm always out this late, I like it out here at night."
:
"Oh, good. Not good that I surprised you, although surprises can be really awesome sometimes but this surprise probably wasn’t all that nice? Um, I’m Eliza by the way, sorry again."
"It's okay, no need to apologize. I'm Declan, it's nice to meet you."
"Sorry, habit. I thought you were my brother. You guys look weirdly alike from the back. I think it’s the hair." Bailey shrugged conversationally, she held out her arms for a hug. "Don’t i get a hug? I’ve missed seeing you and talking to you, i mean… I just- thought i did something wrong or- or something." She tried for another nonchalant shrug, feeling slightly worried though.
Declan hesitated slightly before wrapping his arms around Bailey. Though he didn't fully understand how, he could tell she was worried. "You didn't do anything wrong, I promise. I've just been feeling kind of weird lately." He said, shoving his hands into his pockets and looking down at the ground.
Alright whatever you say.
"I'm really not doing anything illegal. I've never done anything illegal, at least that I know of."
Cora stumbled out from behind a tree. “S-sorry for startling you.” She said with a concerned look. “I just got a little lost.” She moved closer to the boy. “Really there’s no reason to be scared of me. I’m just a little guppy.”
Declan looked at the girl with a small smile on his face, "I was just surprised, no one usually comes out here at this time. " He said with a slight laugh.
Carmen had been outside taking a walk around campus just to kill some time, she loved the night after all. She placed a cigarette on her lips and was about to light it up when she heard a slightly frightened voice calling out. She turned around and spotted the boy a few steps away from her. “Whoever you want me to be.” She replied with a slight smirk on her lips.
Declan watched the girl come closer to him from the darkness and eyed her curiously, "W-What do you mean?"
"Oh, did I scare you?" Eliza frowned. "I’m so so so sorry for scaring you, I didn’t mean to. Are you okay, love? I didn’t scare you too much, did I?"
Declan swallowed hard and gave the girl a small smile, "No, just surprised me a little."
