「♞ ≡ DECLAN SULLIVAN MURDOCK. 」
FABIENNE,
Declan, her best friend, had always been a good influence on Fabienne; encouraging her to be a better person (and more importantly, a more patient one), helping her improve on her Quidditch maneuvers, and occasionally, pulling her away from the stressful academic life to get a little bit of fun in. This time, their ideas culminated in a SPONTANEOUS flight on broomsticks around the Hogwarts grounds – in her opinion, the most beautiful view of the Great Lake was atop it, unbeknownst to many. As they reached the broomstick storage room, Fabienne frowned. “You’re SURE you have to leave me after this year? These adventures are definitely not nearly as fun without a partner.”
It was weird for Declan to think that this was his last year in Hogwarts. Throughout all his time in the school he hadn’t been the best student nor the most enthusiastic person when it came to magic, but there was always one thing that made this experience a lot more tolerable and that was Quidditch. Soon, he was going to leave it behind, that and his friends. He never really thought it through at least not until Fabienne ended up mentioning it and it struck him. All the magic would be gone, but then another part of his life would disappear too and it wasn’t an easy thing to handle. “ I have no choice, Fabes. I mean, I’m sure that Snape would love to make me go through seventh year all over again, but it’s also in his best interest to get rid of me as soon as possible. ” He chuckled in an attempt to hide the tension that made him a lot more wary. “ That doesn’t mean we’ll stop practicing though, just.. not as often. ”
HECATE,
Hecate sighed and nodded – her cat was quite the causer of mischief. “Let’s just say, she likes the taste of freedom… And my essays, it appears.” The Gryffindor grumbled, peering over the stairwell for a moment. “She comes back though… Usually.”
“ Your essays? ” Declan’s brows shot up, he remained quiet for a moment and seemingly deep in thought. Finally, the blond rubbed the back of his neck, his signature sheepish smile coming up before he spoke again. “ Can your cat do me a favor next time and take my non-existent essay? I’ll try to repay her somehow. ”
CLARAMAE,
“hello– is this seat taken?”
Declan looked up from his read to see who’d been addressing him. “ The seat? No, it’s free. Go ahead. ” He gestured to the female and fixed his gaze on the book again.
astropelican:
aries is passion, fire in their veins, endless energy. they want to live forever and just experience everything, passionate about life and love and anything that holds their interest. they want to be the best at everything. they’re icarus flying too close to the sun, achilles and his power and his immortality. they’re loud and wild and they want the world, to live with childish excitement. their anger, though, is unpredictable and terrifying, like a volcano or a dragon that leave nothing behind their fury.
JAY,
a loud explosion resonated throughout the courtyard. the guilty culprit, wand in hand, stood in the middle of the landscape; an incinerated pile of soot was the only giveaway that something had once been there before. that, and jay’s messed up hair and black dusted cheeks. “….well, shit.”
“ That was epic. Definitely unneeded, but still EPIC. ” Declan exclaimed, he made his way towards his housemate clapping his hands slowly. “ I mean there were some flaws in the whole thing, but I’m gonna leave ya to enjoy the moment for once. So how are you feeling bro? ”
HECATE,
“Shit…” Hecate muttered, eyes following the trail of paper scraps ( the unfortunate remnants of her Defense Against the Dark Arts essay ) away from the Gryffindor common room and into the hall – the evidence of her cat’s escape. “Nova? NOVA!” She shouted, peering over the stairwell, her shoulders slumped in defeat.
“ I assume that was the infamous Nova? ” Declan questioned the other Gryffindor who he caught a glimpse of. The blond was partially confused, but a part of him also knew that he had seen far weirder things around this castle than a cat running around. “ Um, do I want to know what happened? ” He turned to Hecate with a puzzled expression.
ANDROMEDA,
the corners of her lips tugged downward into a frown, eyebrows scrunching as she raised her turquoise gaze to the gryffindor in front of her. “what did you say to him?”
“ It was nothing. ” Declan waved off the Ravenclaw’s question. “ You know Peeves. He doesn’t like it when he ends up being the victim. I probably shouldn’t have done that, but I’ll live through it. ”
CASSANDRA,
“ now i don’t go around saying this all the time because it sounds RIDICULOUS, but i am pretty sure not all slytherins are like that. obviously there are others who are actual stereotypes of the house, and that’s their choice. but that really shouldn’t matter ? and at least you’ve stopped caring as much about it. saves you the time and effort of dealing with them, ” she pointed out. she shook her head at him. “ well then i suggest we get started then, i’m sure it won’t be that hard to annoy a couple of them. ”
“ I guess you’re right, but most of them genuinely don’t like me. I don’t know why. Maybe cause I have no filter or cause I’m ridiculously handsome. Probably the second. ” Dex stroked his chin, but didn’t really think about the people who he knew were judging him for his actions. This year the Gryffindor wasn’t as animated as he was the years before and perhaps that was for the better. “ Agreed, it most definitely doesn’t matter. ” He shook his head and offered an arm to Cassandra. “ So, who should be our first victim? ”
ANDROMEDA,
“i…i think it would depend on what exactly had ’enraged’ me, on whether or not i was…deadly..” the ravenclaw frowned a bit, head tilted ever so slightly as she settled her curious gaze upon the gryffindor, giving him one hundred percent of her attention. “why d'you ask?”
“ That didn’t really answer my question properly. ” Declan mused squinting his eyes. He stood there for a moment scratching the back of his neck, wondering whether he should speak up. “ No reason, it’s just I’m the one who got Peeves in a bad mood and I’m testing the water before I say something stupid. ”
CASSANDRA,
“ but to be FAIR, i’m pretty sure it’s because of the animosity between houses. just for some absurd reason, slytherin and gryffindor decided it was best that they DON’T get along. or at least some members of the house do take the rivalry quite seriously, ” cassandra mused with a shrug. “ is that a CHALLENGE, declan ? i mean, if it is, we might as well start looking for some unfortunate slytherin. ”
“ There’s actually a lot of reasons for their attitude, none of which are humane, but hey who am I to know! After all none of my parents are wizards and if I’m being honest I don’t want to be one either. I happen to be the perfect victim and I’m aware of that, but with time I’m starting to notice how I don’t care as much. ” Declan gave his dance partner a non-challant shrug “ Of course it’s a challenge! ” The lion said with a grin. “ Let’s annoy some Slytherins like only we can! ”
CASSANDRA,
“ oh it’s nothing, ” cassandra dismissed with a wave of her hand. “ you make it sound as though the slytherins are PLOTTING your death if you dare speak to them, ” the prefect chuckled. “ i don’t know, something along the lines of ‘hey would you mind speaking to the bloody baron because peeves is wreaking HAVOC once more ?’ i honestly don’t know but i’m sure that can’t be the outcome. ”
“ Oh, but they ARE plotting against me! I can feel it! ” The blond exclaimed. “ Haven’t ya seen the way they look at me? It’s most definitely not love at first sight. ” He continued rambling on despite Cassandra’s dismissive behavior towards the issue. “ If it’s so easy why don’t you just do it yourself then? ”
ANDROMEDA,
andromeda glanced over her shoulder at the gryffindor, a frown tugging at the corners of her lips. “peeves has been roaming in the library?” she questioned, a sigh causing her shoulders to sag. “merlin, that’s convenient.” the sarcasm in her voice was blatantly obvious, and quite unusual for the tiny ravenclaw. “what set him off?”
“ You got that right! ” Declan snapped his fingers, gaze shifting from the brunette to the door of the library. “ Before I answer that question I need to ask you a question. Do you believe yourself to be more deadly than Peeves when enraged? ”
CASSANDRA,
“ well that certainly wasn’t what i was IMPLYING, declan, ” the prefect chuckled and shook her head. “ yeah i don’t think anyone would want to speak to the bloody baron just to tame peeves. maybe the slytherins. but ihighly doubt it. ”
“ Then what are you implying? ” Inquired the lion, running a hand through his hair. “ Forget the Bloody Baron, speaking to those Slytherins would be a big challenge. What am I supposed to do? Be like ‘ Oh, hey! Can you get rid of Peeves for me? Pretty please with a cherry on top. ’ before I know it I’ll be left without clothes, maybe even worse, without hair! ”
