wip projects: king night (bruce/blake, selina/blake, selina/bruce) - in a city built on rot and decadence, the line between the monsters and those who hunt them grows murkier by the night.
lineart of older arthur in the second chapter of these lips in holy silence sealed
I breathe you in as if you were, rose, all life itself
snippet of red in tooth and claw, the second installment of @grizzly-bear-bane and my viking werewolf series:
The lingering scent of the wildflowers that grew from Frigg’s Root was so strong Johann previously had to be seated while he chewed it. A month had gone by since he discovered he was with child and now he was better able to withstand the onslaught of dizziness.
Astrid tsked, dipping the pointed end of her raven’s feather in the bowl of black woad. “Alpha Johann, if you persist with this fretfulness we will have to start over.”
“My apologies Astrid. There is much on my mind, much left to do…”
His omega servants were impressing an image of Yggdrasil onto his belly, which had yet to swell substantially as he was still early with his litter. It would not remain on his skin permanently like his other marks, rather as his pregnancy progressed it would fade until such time after he bared his litter and would then be able to wash it off.
This was one of the oldest traditions for packs. As Johann was to be the first omega pack alpha, he had been tempted to forgo the ritual to distinguish himself. His vǫlur he kept in confidence had pressed on insistently in convincing him to do otherwise. A head pack omega must always bear the mark of Yggdrasil for their first litter, else bad fortune was sure to fall on all the fertile omegas under their liege.
I know she is fierce. She has survived assassins and conspiracies and fell sorceries, grieved for a brother and a husband and a son, trod the cities of the slavers to dust beneath her dainty sandaled feet

Nobody wants to be here and nobody wants to leave.
AU MEME: On a long-con in Basin City, Eames finds his objective and focus in murky water due to a couple of notorious twins.
A self deprecating internet commentator once announced that, contrary to the biblical quote, it would be ugly people who would inherit the Earth. No one ever said whether we would want to be saddled with a rotating junkyard orbiting the sun. And that’s exactly what Earth was these days, now referred to by a much more fitting moniker: Dregs.
Original Verse Aesthetic Series- DREGSLAND
We’ve got to lay it out for you honestly, cause there’s a whole ‘nother manner of fuckery about to go down. And if you’re going to buy the fool’s errand we’re about to embark on, the cogs and the players, it's important for you to realize we’ve got no stake in lying to you. So no matter how weird things get, this ain’t a tall tale situation.
Original Verse Aesthetic Series- RED VIPER: HELL’S HINGES
longshot wips
Going through my sideblog carnographic is a tad bit discouraging, realizing there was a point in time where my mind seemed to be bursting at the seams with potential new aus. but it makes sense in a way, that was when i was first dipping my toes into the inception fandom, and as the years have passed, my creative investment has waned (though not vanished entirely). Nevertheless there are a few stories i started writing but have since lost touch with that i thought were pretty special. i consider my chances of finishing them a longshot. they are as follows the piper at the gates of dawn: Walking alongside the highway, Robin’s only thought was “I need to get out of here”. It didn’t matter where he ended up, so long as it was far away from Alabama. He didn’t expect to wind up in a place he could call home, when home had only ever meant a cage to him. This was a 1960's Dark Knight Rises AU where John flees from a hyper conservative christian cult in a southern bible belt town and ends up on a hippie commune, where a section of its members are plotting for radical revolution. In it Bane has gigantism and John has been forcibly castrated. supermassive pasiv world: As far as missions go, their objective was pretty straightforward: explore known extraterrestrial worlds and document species in the interest of furthering knowledge. Ariadne was still trying to figure out why they were engaging on some hyper-manic version of a wild goose chase instead. I dubbed this verse "HyperFemme" verse, inspired by binge watching James Bond movies followed by Alice in Wonderland movies. In it scientists Cobb, Nash, Ariadne, etc, crashland on a colorful, cartoonish, but seemingly harmless world. In order to have their ship repaired must endeavor to find the thief Arthur BlueBuns for Mr. Eames. It's a dark comedy in which the humans are actually going on an elaborate grocery shopping trip with themselves as main course for a feast. I even have manips of a few of the characters, but I'm not sure the world is ready to see them lmao we ain't going to the church tonight: It's 1987 and Eames has found himself somewhere halfway between the Bible Belt and a hellhole. This was going to be my attempt to make a musical/song fic, that was hopefully just as fun as it was self-aware. In it Eames is looking to turn his life around by following in his father's footsteps and becoming a priest. On their drive through southern United States however they end up in a car crash and Eames awakens to find himself in the town of Virgin Spring Alabama, where everything seems more than a little off. I even had an elaborate scene planned where a group of nun's kills a bus of homophobic football players and bakes them into pies to the tune of "it's raining men" haha
If a woman approaches any beast and lies with it you shall kill the woman and the beast.
wip projects: and the woman clothed with the sun (talia/bane, talia/bruce) - Born in darkness, hardened by pain, Bane and Talia find the light of the outside world cannot chase away the blackness in their hearts.
A fancy costume doesn’t make you a warrior, little girl.
DC Fancast: Nadine Njeim as Talia al Ghul
More often than not I’ll crack into a sprawling fantasy series and, while I appreciate the luscious descriptions of furniture, landscapes, and clothing, all I’m focused on is that I don’t actually know how this world works. I only know what it looks like.
Including some functionality to your universe can add to immersion and give your reader a strong foundation on which to build their mental model of your universe.
You certainly don’t need to use all of these questions! In fact, I recommend against that, as all of these certainly won’t make it into your final draft. I personally find that starting my worldbuilding off with 5 to 10 functional questions helps pave the way for glittery and elaborate aesthetic development later on.
