LONG. LIVE. OCEANA.
"I will never be on your side again."
9/11 could never happen today because the twin towers arent there anymore for some reason
“It’s photoshopped” honestly in the age of AI that has a homey sort of nostalgia to it. Remember when people used to put effort into faking things?
@valdevia
You don't need to remember folks, some of us are still out there doing photoshops the traditional way:
As long as I live, may the old ways never die.
Of course, let me show you!
JPEG Compression as a sillier take on my usual medical horror
Euderus cephalophaga, a much less silly medical horror

it should've, could've, would've been me
Today I'm thinking about...
... the young man who sold me my first shaved ice cone.
... the woman who took pity on me and gave me a lift in her truck, teaching me the lyrics to Rico VacilĂłn during the drive, singing loudly while constantly sipping rum & coke.
... the woman who made the best ever plantains in tomato sauce at the local market, so good that I finally came to like tomatoes.
... the students and other locals who founded a nature awareness project, taking care of injured wildlife and planting a botanical garden to teach others about the local flora and fauna.
... the guy who insisted I drink a Polar with him, even though we didn’t speak each others languages. We just sat on the street and watched the world go by.
... the smiles of the two boys who tried to sell me socks while I was waiting for a local bus to turn up and then insisted to have their picture taken.
... the couple who took me with them to a waterfall and who introduced me to everyone going for a dip as if I had been an old friend.
... the breathtaking beauty of the country and the kindness of many people I met during my travels.
... the woman I met decades later who was amazed I travelled through her home country. She now lives in Europe, but I still checked in on her today, to see how she's doing.
I wish I could check in on everyone I still remember after almost thirty years.
We still don't know much about the situation in Venezuela, only that the United States bombed Caracas and claims to have captured Maduro, but I want to make it clear that I am not going to celebrate a US military incursion on Venezuelan soil. This is not the Venezuelan people rising up against an illegitimate government; this is imperialism.
