Going to Miskolctapolca cave pool would fix me
bathtub in château laurens, france
Hearst Castle by Julia Morgan
The indoor mosaic-tiled pool is inspired by Roman baths.
[ID: photo of a bathtub recessed into the wall into a nook with an arched ceiling. The entire nook is tiled in light green with dark green accents, and there are three flying gulls painted on the back tile. End ID]
Unusual custom-designed fixtures, including a contoured platform for ‘sunbathing,’ help give this bathroom its look of luxury. Charles Gwathmey, architect.
Inside Today’s Home, 1986
Intricate systems of pipes, hand fabricated by metalsmith Yuri Tozuka are connected by glimmering chains, reminiscent of flowing water, to create an elegant, city inspired, opera length necklace.
“I have often found myself inspired by the intricacies of anatomy that animate living things. This inward focus on the beauty of the minute within a closed system helped me to see a previously hidden beauty within larger man-made systems. Considered a blemish on the landscape by some, I found a harmonious beauty towards industrial installations. By fabricating these structures within the form of something typically beautiful, I hope to be able to share this insight with others.” -Yuri Tozuka
