Ever had that happen you sit down to write a fanfic based on a book, but while plotting you get so carried away that you end up with not a fanfic, but a full-fledged original retelling of an old ballad and one of your OCs suddenly changes their name and backstory?

Yeah, that's me 🖐️

I'm looking at 200k characters of text and, honestly, I have no idea what to feel. I've never written anything that long in my life and I have no clue what to do with it afterwards (or how to translate it into english (I don't even know if I'll ever finish this, lol))

Tam for me prioritizes convenience over all else. he has his moments of vanity (and he recognizes the political importance of dressing up) but most of the time his strategy is to grab the least uncomfortable looking thing in his closet that’s still appropriate enough for the occasion. He's a naturally big and active guy; most of his clothes need to be tailored or they'll feel restrictive. he also gets his clothes dirty or ripped up all the damned time. Those living in the manor swear most of the court's yearly funds go towards seamstresses (this is a joke).

Funniest part of the interview for me.

Today, I felt a twinge of nostalgia. Ladies, we all screwed up when we allowed defective faeries to take over the media space. Because we had a perfect example, and we missed it.

I swear, I love this show, along with its Shakespearean references.

And I can't stop thinking about how we could get Illyrians like this, JUST IMAGINE IT AAA

I was just thinking—Tamlin was the only character who had any motivation to resurrect Rhysand. Tamlin, Rhysand, and Feyre are literally connected on several levels, like literary characters.

The question remains—why did the other HLs want to bring Rhysand back to life? In this scene, there are exactly two plausible reactions to Feyre's plea: Tamlin's logical reaction, and Beron's logical reaction (who didn't want to give up his powers, and he wasn't obligated to, either?). But why did the other HLs do it?

Or were their motivations lost in the same forest as Ianthe's?

This is what I wanted to see at ACOMAF. If I didn't get it in the books, I'll damn well do it myself.

By the way, have you noticed that very few people in this fandom pay attention to OT3? That's very unfair.

I finally understood why sjm's attitude towards Tamlin pisses me off so much. I think if this character had a different name, I would be a little calmer about it. But no.

Because it's Tam Lin. Because she took a Scottish legend and just fucking distorted it. Instead of a fairy tale about the strength of a woman who, with her own willpower, pulled her lover back from the dead, we got a story about an "abuser" who is an abuser because the author says so.

Because I hate it when an author drags something into their text to "artistically play with it" and doesn't play with it.

All this makes me want to write my own story and take a character from this fandom. Unfortunately, I'm not a writer. Maybe I'll write a couple of stories for peace of mind, and that's it 😞
