Truth be told, Saturn wasn’t much of a team player, either. The only ones she could fight comfortably alongside were Sailor Pluto and Sailor Chibi Moon. With Sailor Pluto she felt more if a kinship, namely because both had similar situations and circumstances regarding their duties and situations. With Sailor Chibi moon, she was Saturn’s princess (alongside Princess Serenity) as well as her best friend. While she could, when needed fight alongside the rest of her fellow senshi, she never felt as comfortable or as in sync than if she were alongside the other two. This situation was no exception.
Saturn simply nodded, standing there quietly as Neptune took off. She had originally wanted to trip the thief with the end of her weapon, which was the easiest solution, but she relented to Neptune’s authority. At least for the time being.
For now she would wait for Neptune’s signal before taking matters into her own hands.
Neptune was never the most loud senshi, instead preferring to be swift rather than prolonging the fight. With a rise of her fist, the soldier steadied herself, falling back into a trance that she’d held inside deep inside her soul for millennia. The mind of a soldier never faded. With her hands stretched up, Neptune conjured her power.
Word never felt necessary when actions spoke the loudest.
“Deep submerge.”
It always tired her out to unleash such power, consecutive commands were a rarity of hers and certainly not in the books now. However watching the stream of water leave her pointed finger as a bullet rushing from a gun, Neptune realized just how weak she’d become since her break. The motions came natural, but as the tides came to rest and a body rested on the cement of the alleyway, Neptune could feel her own weakness.
“Saturn. You may... take what’s rightfully yours now.” Neptune called taking a step toward the wall to reach out towards for balance. “Before the man wakes up and we have a real battle to face.”
What a good, obedient child.
