3D Print your ZEISS VR ONE tray for Samsung Galaxy S4 / S5 / S6, LG G3 or Google Nexus 5
The ZEISS VR ONE headset has been on the market since last December. Since then, developers and customers have been asking for a broader variety of smartphone trays than just the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 6. Last year, we conducted a smartphone poll to evaluate what the community wants. More than 5000 users voted for their favorite smartphone models, which should be considered as new options for the ZEISS VR ONE headset. Based on this poll, we tested, evaluated and designed the next three trays to be made available for 3D printing for the ZEISS VR ONE.
We are now offering the CAD file for the following smartphones for 3D printing.

The CAD files for these 3 smartphone models can easily be adapted and used to print your own individual tray for your ZEISS VR ONE. Simply download the file, store it on a USB stick and visit your local 3D print shop to order your new tray.
We want to point out that this project is still a work in progress and this solution is intended to support developers and their ambitions to create a broader VR movement. The ZEISS apps (VR ONE Media, VR ONE AR and VR ONE Cinema) might not work properly yet on these smartphones (Samsung Galaxy S4 and S6, LG G3 and Nexus 5) because additional software configurations are required. VR compatible apps available on Google Play or Apple iTunes store will run properly on these newly supported smartphones. Please read the description of the dedicated VR app for more information. Hint: you will find a list of VR compatible apps by searching for “cardboard” on the store search engine.
