PSA: Hallucinations aren’t convenient!!

Non-psychotic people might never think about this, consider it, or acknowledge this, but hallucinations can happen at the most inconvenient times. Some of them expect you to somehow be able to control them; like when your psychosis acts up when you’re out with them or something along that like they look at you like, “what the hell?” 

NEWSFLASH!!! We can’t control this! Hallucinations happen, hallucinations are annoying, hallucinations are SCARY! I’ve hallucinated at work, during family time, out in public, group gatherings, etc. I sometimes have to stop myself from screaming. And others might have similar experiences. 

Don’t expect us to accommodate you with something we can’t even help if you can’t accommodate us with understanding and support.

Any tips for others with DID to start to reach out or trying to except it?

Hey there! Isaac the host here!! When starting to reach out to others with DID, this is a good way! When i was a young system host, and everything was scary. I went to peoples ask boxes i also watched multiplicity and me. They were one of my biggest helpers!!! I found there were more people like me! I wasn’t just “Crazy”. Reading about your own illness is one of the best things you can do, and hearing others experiences and thinking. My system has some things like that!

Now when accepting it yourself, that one is not so easy. The thing you should focus on is strengthening communication between you and your alters. The more everyone starts to have a sense of community. the more strength there is, you wont feel alone in your system. Everyone will have some sort of understanding. Trust me this can take years to perfect so no worries! Get to know your system, get to know your alters and get to know youself. Figure out how you all can function together, rather than it all being spontaneous and non-communicated!! Its a long road but a worthy road!!!! I just discovered a Light Yagami fictive and now I don’t know what to think? This is the first fictive that I’ve known about in my system. Do you have any suggestions on how to get used to this? -a confused system host

Hi there~! Jamie here~! Well first step is to get to know them~! Not all fictive’s match their source identically~! He may be a bit confused as to why he’s here~! Or upset~! Which is fine~! nobody expects to end up in a system~! Communication is key~! There’s no shame in having fictives~! Talk to him with an open mind~! Our DM’s are open if you’d like additional advice~! How i found myself as an alter~!

Hi guys~!!! My name is Jamie~!!! It’s nice to meet you all~!!! I have been in this system for an astounding 13 years now~!! Awesome right~?? During these thirteen years i have learned ALOT~!! I wasn’t always the strong woman you see in front of you~! To get things started, when i came into this system, i was a male fictive~! I am comfortable enough to say that~!! The longer i stayed here~! The more i experienced things fronting~! The more i learned what it meant to be a caretaker, to be an alter, that i’m not here to just mess around~! well, i started looking into myself~! What am i built on, what do i stand for, who am i~! In this mass array of memories and other alters and responsibility~! i hated who i was but didn’t know how to change~! Then i picked up a makeup brush, and i went to town, i stopped feeling like i had to be an exact image of this character who i use to be~!! I found myself~! I was a woman~!!! I came clean to myself, and everyone around me~! My daily tasks as co-host got easier~! I could care for the host and others with more confidence and joy~! I stopped feeling this heavy burden~! I found who, i was~!! Fictives~!! You don’t have to identically match who source you is~!! Its okay to be different~!!! I’m so much happier~!! I use my light to help the host and to help others and to enjoy my time here~!! I am a trans woman~!! I make fun tik toks in the body~! I do makeup~! I buy fem clothes for myself~!! Although i only wear them when im fronting since isaac would h a t e it~! eheh~!! The moral is~!! Don’t feel like you have to stick to what your source is~! or what your role is in the system~!!
