Every interaction I see with an Endo with someone who is a questioning system ALWAYS goes and says “You should look into plurality” “Oh you say you don’t have any trauma? You should look into plurality” “No amnesia? Look into plurality”

NO. NO HAVING LITTLE AMNESIA OR “LITTLE TRAUMA” OR TRAUMA YOU CANNOT REMEMBER DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE AN ENDO

This disability pride month, we want to give a shout out to all the people with DID/OSDD out there.

It can be scary living with these disorders, and you and your system deserve so much respect for all that you've been through and have survived. It's no small thing to stay alive in the face of having a disorder like these. We wish you peace, happiness, and safety, whoever you are. Whether you're seeking fusion, functional multiplicity, anything in-between, or something else entirely to manage your condition, we hope it goes well for you and that you see the results you want.

Stay safe and be kind to yourselves. The world is already harsh enough to us DID/OSDD folks, you don't have to be cruel to yourselves on top of it. You deserve to be happy.

Can we stop spreading misinformation about receiving a diagnosis in the system community?

No, a diagnosis won't stop places from hiring you, they won't know about your diagnosis unless you tell them (HIPAA).

No, getting diagnosed won't get you sent to the mental hospital.

No, a therapist can't force you to go through with final fusion.

Please, stop discouraging people from seeking professional/diagnosis. If you suspect you have a dissociative disorder and can seek a professional, do it. If you have a bad experience with a professional you can always go to another one. Don't be scared to seek help.

we were diagnosed with OSDD-1B today. we are so grateful for our therapist listening to us and hearing us.

edited to add: hi yes we know "1b" is a community term and our therapist does as well. when she said we have OSDD i clarified with her which community label it would be under for OUR sake. our diagnosis is valid, thanks. she said we do not meet amnesia requirements but certainly have alters and meet all other requirements and therefore she was diagnosing us with OSDD. just because we chose to specify with a community term does not mean our diagnosis is invalid or that we are spreading misinfo. next time you dont understand, fucking ask a question kindly rather than assume, thanks.

Is it just me or do endos just post the most surface level things about plurality??

I saw a post saying "Plural culture is having to explain to your friends why you sometimes don't remember things and act different."

Like sure that's true but it's like one of the most well-known things ever, it's been said hundreds of times.

It honestly strengthens my belief that these people really don't know what plurality is beyond Tumblr and maybe a Wikipedia page or two. It just makes it seem like they didn't put much effort into learning what plurality actually is beyond the most well-known things about it.
