Too bad I can't sing. But this is exactly how I've been jammin' in my bed after I bought the amazing iMaschine.
Santa, I need Maschine Mikro please.
12-inch Soul '08
12 inch Soul '08 by Kerma on Mixcloud
I digged through my library and found an old vinyl only mix I recorded back in early 2008. This really makes me wanna blow dust off those 12" records and play them more often. Vinyl just has that soul that no digital medium can replace.
my sound
I've always been a bit worried that I might sound exactly like someone else. But the more I listened to others the more I realized that this might not be the case.
Hunting down new tracks used to be simple: check out what fresh is out from couple of favorite labels, listen to some fresh podcasts and go though beatport top 100.
Now it takes me hours. There are some guys and gals I follow, but they do not represent the same sound or even the same genre. They might have something, but usually it's not that easy. I find myself listening to hundreds and hundreds of samples, skipping through podcasts and mixtapes and browsing quite randomly various sites and blogs. And I'm only able to pick up those few pearls, that find their way into my cart.
I feel more and more that I actually have my own sound. And the time I put into that sound is worth every second of it. I hope you'll enjoy it too.
Fresh mixcloud up soon!

Deep-n-soul - ep3 by Kerma on Mixcloud
It's Friday! And this means moar tech and deep house. Check out Episode 3 before you put on your dance shoes. And see you tonight somewhere in the city!
Lovelee Dae (joyce muniz remix) - blaze
Love Cream (Kruse & Nuemberg Remix) - fog & arara
Deep Preception - dave mayer
Black Water (Soul Purpose Dub) - grant nelson feat gathy battistessa
Point - nice 7
Save My Life - dj pp
Pride (Johnny D Eemix - Vocal Edit) - osunlade pres nadirah shakoor
Who Dares To Believe In Me (Martijn Ten Velden Remix) - the believers
This Is Love (Rainer Trueby Remix Dub) - eddy meets yannah
The Promise (Luvbug Vocal Mix) - nathan g feat alexander east
10 minute mix. Should have been 11 minute mix tho.
It's very easy to get caught in that cycle of constantly refreshing things, cause you feel pressure to play music that no-one else has got. The best thing to do for inspiration is to look back, not to look forward for the new sh*t that nobody yet has.

Deep-n-Soul - ep2 by Kerma on Mixcloud
1. Want You In My Soul - lovebirds feat. stee dowes
This is unquestionably one the top tracks of 2011. And I just can't get enough of it. It has everything that perfect song should have: Stee's fresh vocals, juicy bass line, amazing melody and the soft kicks that cherish your ears. Just let this feeling go!
2. Love Lockdown (Guy Robin's Remix) - kanye west
I have to admit that I quite like the original as well, although it was way too played back in 2008. Some say it was one of the year highlights. But Guy Robin has given it a nice soul, it's a proper house track now.
3. Smile (Bobby Steve & Michael Hughes Main Vocal) - bobby steve pres wyen solo
Nice and sunny and perfect beach track.
4. Sun Will Shine - studio apartment feat yasmeen sulieman
This is why I love Defected. This track can be played from lounge to club and it still delivers. Proper kicks, powerful vocals, what else do you need?
5. I Need You Back (D-reflector Remix) - montana & stewart feat sofia rubina
Our own pride and glory, Sofia Rubina, proves once again why she is the best house voice in Estonia.
6. That Day - magic number feat rachel foster
Superb classic from 2004. Magic Number, or Ross Hillard, has done quite a lot of nice work in Sonar Collective and Mantis Recordings This time he takes he's jazzy soul and puts it into house music. Thanks mate!
7. Are You (Bollo Remix) - Munchies
I think there will not be a single year when someone doesn't take Nina Simone's legacy to release a new magnificent remix. On 2010 that someone were guys from Czech Republic, Munchies, remixed by Bollo from Slovakia.
8. Crying For Love - manoo & francois a feat dyanna fearon
French duo spin a nice soulful track with londoner Dyanna Fearon. Those hart-bleeding vocals are nicely backed with quite cheerful keys.
9. Take Me Back (Sandy Rivera's Original Mix) - kings of tomorrow feat april
Kings Of Tomorrow needs no introduction. Take Me Back is yet another instant heaven that is going to played for years over and over again.
10. Falling (Dj Black Coffee Remix) - dj kent feat malehloka hlalele
2011 has been quite a year for Black Coffee. Although his tracks are recognizable from the first beat, they still deliver something fresh from South Africa each and every time. Now, may I have a blanket made of miss Hlalele voice?
Black Coffee's deep and sweet beats
