We got some new products that i think you may like. A rare Mear One of Bloc28 x NewEra fitted cap collab. For those that don't know already, Bloc28 is the street art division of Disney. There was only 280 of this design produced and it was released to only 28 stores worlwide... Enjoy :)

    Los Angeles-based artist Ryan McCann uses his encounters with mass-produced imagery to enter a state of regression. A refusal of mechanical methods of reproduction (silkscreening, lithography and photography) leads to an exercise in manual labor, but also an intentional distancing from the ‘purity’ of the initial object. Often employing satirical text laid across the image, McCann challenges the complacent response to a heavily-circulated image by violating its physical continuity (or how it first appeared without noticeable change to its composition). What’s more, the act of burning wood becomes a constructive gesture. In adding layers of color to his images, McCann makes the experience of viewing the work similar to that of reading a graphic novel: colors convey emotional gradients and text becomes the accompaniment.    Ryan McCann has a background in sports as a former Quarterback for the UCLA Bruins and Cincinnati Bengals. When his career was cut short due to a shoulder injury he started lighting things on fire. Ryan’s portrait of renowned UCLA Coach John Wooden titled “Coach” is part of the permanent collection in the UCLA Hall of Fame. He has also done commissioned work for Gibson Guitars, Patron Tequila, and the World Champion New Orleans Saints. Ryan currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

We just got a large shipment from Mear One's studio that I think a lot of people are going to like. There are a total of eight new prints. The list includes The Tower, Dare to Defy, Elevator and The Awakening. The other four are ones he printed for Lightning in a Bottle Festival 2012. If you know who Mear One is, i'm sure you'll recognize at least some of them. If you don't, your in for a treat.

DSV Featured Vision: Jermaine Rogers

To all people that are into rock music... This man is one of the best at turning your sound into a vision. For this weeks Featured Vision, we look at the one and only Jermaine Rogers. Enjoy!

Jermaine Rogers 

    Most widely known as one of the leaders in the field of modern rock poster art. This involves the creating and production of promotional poster artwork featuring concerts, musical events, and musical releases by certain rock and roll artists. Jermaine Rogers has created these pieces of advertising since the year 1994. By 1996, due to growing workloads and collectible popularity in this field, Rogers abandoned his secular job to pursue the creation of poster art on a full-time basis. For the last few years, Jermaine has chosen to concentrate more on fine art, design, and other personal pursuits.     Jermaine has designed nearly 800 posters for a wide variety of musical acts including Radiohead, Neil Young, Tool, Weezer, Tori Amos, David Bowie, The Deftones, The Melvins and literally hundreds of others.     Rogers has achieved a significant following of fans and collectors alike. His distinctive style of line art has become instantly recognizable, and his original use of color has been praised and derided alike. Rogers' artwork is collected worldwide. He deals with galleries in the USA, Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, and online. His screenprinted concert posters, art prints, original artworks, and paintings have achieved a rising collectible value in the eyes of collectors.

DSV Featured Vision: Luke Chueh

Whatsup People, Starting today, there will be a weekly entry here featuring one artist or designer that we're  both fans and suppliers of. Helping to promote the artists as well as the one we're pushing here at Deep Soul Vision. Check it out!

Luke Chueh

*Born in Philadelphia, but raised in Fresno, Luke Chueh (pronounced CHU) studied graphic design at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obipso where he earned a BS in Art & Design (Graphic Design concentration). He was employed by the Ernie Ball Company, working in-house as designer/illustrator where he created several award winning designs and was featured in the design annuals of Communication Arts and Print Magazine. Meanwhile, he also created, produced, wrote, designed, edited and published "E.X.P.", a 'zine dedicated to the "Intelligent Dance Music (IDM)" genre.  In 2003, Chueh moved to Los Angeles to further pursue a career in design. However, a lack of employment opportunities left him resorting to painting as a way to keep busy (a hobby he picked up while attending Cal Poly). He got his start when the Los Angeles underground art show, Cannibal Flower, invited him to show at their monthly events. Since then Chueh has quickly worked his way up the ranks of the LA art scene, establishing himself as an artist not to be ignored. Employing minimal color schemes, simple animal characters, and a seemingly endless list of ill-fated situations, Chueh stylistically balances cute with brute, walking the fine line between comedy and tragedy. Chueh's work has been featured in galleries around the world, and some of his paitnings have also been reinterpreted into vinyl toys.

Sometime over next week Deep Soul Vision will be getting in some street art designed umbrellas that I think a lot of you are going to be interested in. Choke - Urban Creation is a German based company that came up with the idea of using artwork by well known street artist from around the world as the design for a well made umbrella.
