Hi everyone! This is an illustrated guide I made as part of my co-admining work at The Middle Eastern Feminist on Facebook! It will be published there shortly. The technique that is displayed here is a genuine one used in psychology - I forgot the name and couldn’t find it again so if you know about it, feel free to tell me! Some could say: “Yes but you can use that technique for instances of harassment other than Islamophobic attacks!”, and my reply is: Sure! Please do so, it also works for other “types” of harassment of a lone person in a public space!! However I’m focusing on protecting Muslims here, as they have been very specific targets lately, and as a French Middle Eastern woman, I wanted to try and do something to raise awareness on how to help when such things happen before our eyes - that way one cannot say they “didn’t know what to do”! I’d like to insist on two things: 1) Do not, in any way, interact with the attacker. You must absolutely ignore them and focus entirely on the person being attacked! 2) Please make sure to always respect the wishes of the person you’re helping: whether they want you to leave quickly afterwards, or not! If you’re in a hurry escort them to a place where someone else can take over - call one of their friends, or one of yours, of if they want to, the police. It all depends on how they feel! For my fellow French-speakers: I will translate it in French and post it on my page as soon as I can :) Please don’t hesitate to share this guide as it could push a lot of people to overcome bystander syndrome!! Kiddos who aren’t happy and silly and lovey. Kiddos who don’t like being touched, who aren’t little snuggle monsters on a daily basis. Kiddos who are grumpy and sad and quiet, and prefer independent play. Who like to be neat and clean and read their picture books and color inside the lines. Littles who don’t likes kisses or hugs or physical affections or saying I love you over and over.
Kiddos who are seen as less “fun” than the others. Who are told they “don’t act little”.
I see you and I adore you! You’re perfect exactly how you are.

I'm sorry to hear you had a rough day, working for hours and then coming home to an unsafe house can be a lot on your mind! It makes sense for your brain to be mean during hard times like these, but what it's saying is not at all true. You are worthy of relaxation and love and care, especially after such a long day. Make sure to get as much rest as you can and do something special for yourself, you've earned it!
Silly facts? Hmmmm... well this is a shark blog! Here's one, did you know shark teeth naturally have a fluoride coating? That means they have their own built in toothpaste! Lemon sharks also make best friends and like to spend time with those buddies the most!!

If you find yourself scrolling online and find someone saying something cruel, false, or mean relating to age regression or something you love personally -> Do not interact with it.
Often, in the case of agere, these people are misinformed, willfully ignorant, or simply people who don’t like to see whimsy. It’s hard to change the minds of people like this, so the best thing to do is block them.
Thus removing any current or future upsetting messages. We can’t help only hope they can grow and learn, but that’s not our responsibility.
Our goal is to heal and cope with our past and present in the hopes of creating a better future for ourselves. And I’m proud of each and every one of you for accepting this part of yourself.
It can be a challenge to deal with people who can’t understand us, but I promise there’s nothing wrong with you. We simply have a different way of coping.
And when it comes to people insulting your interests, it’s the same thing. Block them. Often people are preying on insecurity, you see something upsetting and we can’t help but see what they say. We view the thing we like as an extension of ourselves. Which is not true.
Algorithms are designed to show us things to upset us so we keep doomscrolling and falling into pits we feel trapped in.
But here to hold your hand and pull you out.
Love something because you love it. You don’t have to justify your joy. Don’t watch that critique video, don’t listen to cruel comments, and don’t be pressured into becoming cruel.
Your happiness is something truly special and something worth protecting.
Block those who wish to drain your whimsy. They will never understand the value of your interests, and they’ll never get to know how wonderful this community is.
Remember, we’re here for you. Don’t worry about justifying your joy. Just let yourself enjoy the things you love.
