I haven't tried keeping a journal in a really long time. I guess flaunting my goings-on via MySpace and eventually Facebook superseded my desire to get very real, and raw. The way you only can in a diary. I'm going to try this diary thing again.

The way our eyes connect like we’re entwined, the magnetism of your gaze pulls me in so close I don’t know if I could ever get away, no wait, I don’t know if I’ll ever be the same again. --- As you undress me with your eyes, you leave me nothing to hide behind. No veil of vanity to disguise, no brick wall to disappear inside, my soul’s as bare as my trembling body and even though I know I should be petrified, I’ve never felt more alive. More free inside.

why?

sometimes I feel like I have no voice. when I try to speak I do emit words yet no one perceives their meaning; the statements hold no weight. feathers fly when I tell lies. I feel empty and cold inside as I spend my life reminding myself that I'm still alive. as I lay here gasping for air I'm thinking about those two pieces that should fit together, yet never quite do. struggle is strife. your fucking passive aggression eats me alive, from the inside out, like a parasite. riddles with no answers and riddles with no answers and riddles with no answers.

let the ice freeze and may the wind take hold of these sunken sails, there must be a better land where the sun still shines. I long to feel that warmth upon my skin. only flames survive the blackness of my shrouded heart. take this candle from me so that I might sleep tonight.

Alice E. Doherty was born in 1887 with a rare genetic mutation called “hypertrichosis”, or “werewolf syndrome”, which causes excessive body hair.  She was billed as “The Minnesota Woolly Baby”.  At birth, she was covered all over in two-inch long, silky blonde hair.  She began exhibiting as a sideshow “freak” at the age of two, and remained in the business until 1915. Invented in France in 1877, the praxinoscope used a strip of pictures placed around the inner surface of a spinning cylinder. It improved on the zoetrope by replacing narrow viewing slits with an inner circle of mirrors, positioned so that the reflections of the pictures appeared more or less stationary as the wheel turned. Someone looking in the mirrors would see a rapid succession of images producing the illusion of motion, with a brighter and less distorted picture than the zoetrope offered.
