The 15th Legion comic book concepts are adding up!

Meet Yoshiko - a self-confident, often harsh and somewhat reckless, fearless bounty hunter and investigator, who makes an unlikely alliance with Hoshi Mochizuki.

I based the design of the character on the person I know. Even the name Yoshiko has some relevance in meaning too.

a new character concept for the plans of a comic book "The 15th Legion"

I plan her to be a best friend of a protagonist Hoshi Mochizuki. Her outfit and hairstyle are inspired by my another character Makoto Akiyama from a long-forgotten comic book the Loner which I wrote back in 2016.

I gave this character this name after Misato Katsugari from "Neon Genesis Evangelion".

She will also share similarities in traits, including stubbornness and impatience, a typical Tsundere archetype.

"Twice as Loved"

I usually overlay everything in ArtFlow Studio on an initial sketch draft that I draw by hand on paper, and remove the draft layer, but this time I decided to overlay it instead to make a different style and technique.

I planned it as a cover of my new single, but it turned out into a standalone art with its own story, if you will. It will anyway be used as a cover art as well 🙂

This artwork serves as a sequel, or epilogue, if you will, to a science fiction love story novel I wrote back in 2018.

Catching a Star (2018, Sci-Fi / Romance)

Even 1000 years forward, in a highly developed Milky Way, inhabited by a human civilization, some things stay the same...

I wanted to depict main characters being finally together and happy.

In the story, Jean, a man in his 30s, falls in love with Louise, a bright and ambitious young woman. All circumstances tell that it is impossible for them to be together, but in the end, against all odds, they stay together, understanding that, only having each other, they will feel true happiness in their lives.
