Sunsets the last two nights.
Our place in Hancock for Kirsten's wedding. The house isn't great but the scenery is beautiful.
A wonderful visit this morning to the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown. They have a lovely carousel there and baby lambs.
We were able to drive close to the oldest covered bridge in the U.S. so that George could see it. We ended the day with ice cream.
Poor Gypsy, the car, had an unfortunate encounter with this small tree that was hiding in her blind spot.
I went on a hike at Glimmerglass State Park while George sat on a bench and read. He has a cold.
Omeggang Brewery for lunch.
The Baseball Hall of Fame, complete with the Holy Cow and a picture of Tom Seaver by Andy Warhol.
Lunch at Prison City Brewery in Auburn NY (no pictures). But we did see this great sign in Auburn. Dinner at the Council Rock Brewery in Cooperstown. Both breweries today had wonderful beer but the food at Council Rock was awesome.
Left Buffalo and family behind today. Had a nice hike at Montezuma Wildlife Refuge.
Great day spent with family and friends at Beaver Island State Park.
Putting in the second level of cinder blocks around the straw bale garden.
There's something fitting about using plastic knives and forks in the garden. The knives are labels and the forks help keep critters away from the strawberries.
We hiked 3.5 miles at Powhatan State Park. We saw Solomon's seal, and some Luna moths mating.
A blue tailed skink and Wimseys great belly.
Hiked about six miles at Powhatan State Park this afternoon.
George and I hiked 1.3 miles at Ragged Mountain Natural Area in Charlottesville after going to the faculty retirees luncheon at the Boars Head Inn.
